Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
The house smelled wonderful while they were baking!! I'm not a big donut lover but these little bites are YUMMY! I reduced the nutmeg to 1/4 tsp., which gave just enough flavor. I do think next time I will reduce the sugar as well.....just a little. Thanks so much for sharing! My family loves them!!

Bubble Pizza

I have been making this for years and my family loves it! It is a nice change from traditional pizza. If your family likes Mexican, try my Salsa Bread recipe that is posted. It is very similar to this awesome recipe.

Pork Chops a la Slow Cooker

Delicious! The only things I did different was add baby carrots and a few pinches of a Rosemary Herb seasoning blend. My family loved it! Thanks so much for sharing...I know I will be making this often.

Kielbasa with Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
My family just finished dinner and loved it. I did make a couple of small changes but only to fix a mistake. I over salted the dish so used a couple of splashes of Teriyaki marinade, hoping it would balance out the taste. It did, but not enough, so I added a few sprinkles of light brown sugar. The result was absolutely delicious! I also used water instead of oil and covered the skillet for most of the cooking. This is a great recipe for kielbasa. Thank so much for sharing!

Detroit Hot Honey Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
Excellent recipe! I made these for our Memorial Day cookout and everybody raved. I was called away from the grill while basting with honey and a few burned slightly in spots. They were still delicious but I think next time I will put them in the oven for that part, then finish on the grill.

Pork Chop and Cabbage Casserole

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
This was the perfect dinner for our first cold Fall day here in Ohio. I only made a few small modifications: I shredded half of the cabbage and chopped the other, only because my food processor shreds really small. I also did 1/4 can milk and 1/4 can water instead of just water. Baked for one hour uncovered and covered for the last 30 minutes and it was delicious!! Hubby loved it and even my picky 8 year old had to admit it was really good! I will be making this many times through the fall and winter. Thanks so much for sharing Michele.

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
Although I made some minor changes out of necessity, these are delicious! I had to substitute Cream of Mushroom since that's all I had, but it went great with the Swiss cheese! I took a couple of others advice and seasoned with pepper, Seasoned salt, garlic powder and Poultry seasonings before adding the cheese and soup mixture. When it was time to bake uncovered, I sprinkled generously with Parmesian cheese. It was absolutely delicious! Since I only used three chicken breasts, I cut reduced the bread crumbs by half but it made an almost stuffing consistency, which just added to the already great taste. I lightly sprinkled with fresh lemon right before serving. Thanks so much for sharing this great (and easy) recipe!

Teriyaki Onion Burgers

Reviewed: May 5, 2007
My family absolutely loved these burgers! I didn't have Teriyaki marinade so I used a mixture of Teriyaki sauce and light brown sugar. I mixed that and the crumbled french fried onions into the ground chuck and let it sit in the fridge for about 4 hours. My husband cooked them on a charcoal grill and I have to say, they were absolutely deliciou! Very juicy with an incredible flavor! Instead of cheddar we used Provolone. I thought a little horseradish sauce would taste good but was out of that too so mixed some horseradish with mayonnaise and these were by far the BEST burgers I have ever had! Hubby ate it with no condiments and and raved! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!

Jambalaya Salad

For our oldest daughters 13th birthday party we had a Luao theme. I was having difficulty finding recipes that could be made indoors and saw this and decided to try it and am glad that I did. Everyone really enjoyed it and it still tastes great after a few days in the refrigerator.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
I just recently started eating brussel sprouts because hubby loves them and this is the second recipe I tried. The first one was pretty good, but these are delicious! I served them along side stuffed pork loin chops and received rave reviews! I do think I over cooked them just a little, as I took the midpoint on cook time. My oven has a mind of its own so at times it's hard to judge! I initially contemplated adding some garlic or other seasonings but am glad I didn't. This recipe was great just as is! This has definatly earned a spot in our favorite recipe file!

Southwestern Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2005
This is delicious! I followed other's suggestions and added a twist of my own... accidentally. I used flour tortillas because we're not crazy about the corn style, and tore into pieces rather than cutting into strips. I also added about 1-1/2 tsp. of chili powder to the soup mixture and didn't have green chili's, so used a can of Rotel, well drained. The recipe said to pour the soup mixture inside, but I reserved enough to lightly cover the top, after the turkey, then I layered with cheddar. The results are excellent... a nice kick without taking away the taste of the turkey. This has replaced our current "day after Thansgiving" favorite and I am sure will remain so for years to come. Thanks for sharing Carrie!

Big Germans

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2005
I thought this sounded too good to be true, and it was! This was absolutely delicious with lemon juice and powdered sugar sprinkled on top. Our four year old helped me make this and was so excited to taste something that "she made"! Hubby LOVED it and couldn't stop eating it, even plain. Next time, we will try half with fresh strawberries and whipped cream too. Thanks so much for sharing this one...this is definately a keeper!

California Primavera

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2004
I made this for dinner when a vegetarian relative was visiting and everyone loved it! I used fresh broccoli, cauliflower, and red pepper instead of frozen and accidentally bought Italian style chopped tomatoes instead of stewed and the result was absolutely delicious. I also served grilled chicken breasts for the non-vegens and the combination was perfect. Thanks so much for sharing....this is definatly a keeper!

April's Chicken Fried Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2004
This was the best fried rice I have ever had! My family and friends loved it! I did do something a little different....after cubing the chicken, I marinated it for about four hours in teryaki sauce with a couple dashes of soy sauce, using just enough to coat all the chicken. When it was time to cook, I put the chicken into my wok with melted butter, lightly browned, and only had to add a little more soy sauce (less than the recipes calls for) after adding the rice and did not add the salt at all. The result was a nicely seasoned fried rice that was not too salty. Thanks so much for sharing April...this is a keeper!
