No Bake Choco-Peanut-Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
I'm a terrible baker so I thought I would give these a try. I was a little concerned it might not set up since far better cooks were having trouble. But I made sure the bubbles were all across the top as some one else had suggested and they turned out great! After a few "test" cookies I realized there aren't many left. I am off to make a double batch this time!

Chewy Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I'm a terrible cookie maker. But I had all these ingredients on hand so I gave them a try. They turned out great! The didn't spread, were chewy as described, and delicious! I just might give baking cookies another try. These gave me some confidence!

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
This is a perfect basic recipe. I first tried it because I had apples I needed to use but no brown sugar or oats. The second time I made it, I had brown sugar and used it. It was good with it, but fine without it. The best thing I think about the recipe is the blending of the sugar and butter. Many recipes call for combining the dry ingredients and then adding the butter. Creaming the butter and sugar first is so much easier. Thanks for sharing! This recipe is a keeper!

Christmas Fruitcake

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2003
The worst thing about this cake, is that it goes so fast. I make this cake every year but now I double it. The first time I made it, I was careful to use the exact fruits the recipe called for, but now I use the exact measurment for fruit, but use my favorite dried fruit. I really love this recipe!

We do this too, but we use Rolos and roast the marshmellow to the half way point then add the candy. We love it.
