Caramel-Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
OMG! We LOVED it! I made it using Sarah Jo's homemade caramel sude recipe (which was so easy and delicious), switched to Granny Smith apples, and accidentally doubled the brown sugar (full cup instead of half cup), and even though it was a bit on the extra-sweet side, it was awesome! Can't add anything other than if you're looking for something easy for dessert for Thanksgiving, or just because, this is an great dish. If you're doubting it, don't! Just go ahead and make it. What could you possibly loose? But there is a lot of taste bud pleasing yum to gain. :)

Maria's Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2013
Really liked the flavor, but I had to make a small change. Instead of onion soup, I added 3 tsp of minced garlic (didn't have any onion soup), and used 2-1/2 cups broth. Tasted great! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the rice kind of burns around the edges of the baking dish and lightly on the top. This caused my daughter to spit it out (not the recipe's fault) and not eat it. I think next time I'll keep it covered for 45 minutes, and uncovered for only 15 (may help). But this really had a great flavor!

Easy After Work Chicken Francaise

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2013
Great taste, and easy to make. Made a few minor changes based on some of the reviews. I poured out about 1/3 - 1/2 of the oil before making the 'sauce/gravy', and added an extra 1/2 tablespoon of flour to it. Had a nice consistency. Two cups flour was more than enough, next time I'll cut that back to one cup. I may also cut the lemon juice back just a bit. Will be making this again!

White Chip Chocolate Cookies

AWESOME cookie! I only baked them for 8.5 to 9 minutes, and the centers came out nice and chewy. Best cookie ever, and easy!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2012
Very easy recipe that tastes great. About 15 minutes before it was finished, I removed the tin foil so the top got brown, and then added a little more shredded cheese just before I took it out. Nobody believed I made it from scratch! :-)

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Easy to make. I cut it in half for a 9x13, and there was enough. I felt it tasted too much like cream cheese, and not really frosting. Everyone else loved it...

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
WOW! I love butter chicken in restaurants, and I can't believe I made something that tasted sooo good! I'm a beginner in the kitchen, and this was awesome and easy! I started with the intention of making the one skillet version, but 6 pots/pans later I resigned to that idea. :-) I also used the evaporated milk, and used curry in lieu of the tandoori masala, and it turned out great. I used 3/4 cup of butter instead of the full cup. My wife loved it, and my 11 yo daughter ate it all, although she wasn't crazy about the spiciness, but said she'd have it again. Thanks so much for this recipe!

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
I'm brand new to cooking, and this turned out awesome! I changed it quite a bit, and everyone loved it. I used mozzarella instead of the swiss, and put in a slice of ham. I also lightly breaded it after I rolled it up, and topped it with an extra teaspoon of the pesto. It was like a pesto cordon bleu! Yum!
