This soup was good, but I felt like it was missing something...

Canned Apple Pie Filling

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
Very easy. I added vanilla, cloves and about a cup of orange juice (replacing 1 cup of water) to the syrup. It gives the pie a whole different taste... Reminds me of Christmas.

Venison-Bacon White Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
This chili is phenomenal! It tastes just like a chili I get from a local resturaunt that I love but I could never nail down exactly what was in it. I am going to try it with chicken instead of the venison and bacon this time.

Peach Salsa II

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
I didn't follow the recipe exactly... I left out the gelatin and replaced the sugar with a few tablespoons of honey, I also added 4 chopped mangoes. I wanted it to be more of juicy salsa instead of a sweet jam. The flavors are AWESOME! It's a little sweet, a little hot and totally addicting!

Wonderful recipe. I've tried other fondants and ended up throwing them away, but this turned out perfectly!

Bacon Wrapped Barbeque Shrimp

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I made these for our Christmas Eve party and they were fantastic! I did pre-cook the bacon for a few minutes first. I also brushed them with barbeque sauce instead of the seasoning. They were a huge hit!

This bread is amazing! I have made it many times, all with great results. It's the best served warm with a little peanut butter!

Limoncello

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
If you like lemon, you will love this! I almost always have a bottle of homemade limoncello in my refrigerator. I serve it in martini glasses filled with ice.

Cherry Hazelnut Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
These turned out fantastic! I used dried cranberries instead of cherries and added about a teaspoon of cinnamon. The lemon zest makes these!

Bourbon Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
The chicken was pretty good...but the sauce was terrible! The bourbon and the mustard were too overpowering. I doubt that I will make this again.

Lemon Drop

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2007
I'm sorry, but I love Lemon Drop Martini and this was awful! Way too much lemon juice. I needed to add alot more sugar and vodka to it to make it drinkable. After a few sips I ended up adding some peach nectar to it... After that it was awesome!

Authentic German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2007
I can't say enough about this recipe! No one could believe that this was homemade! I made a few adjustments, first of all I doubled the recipe b/c I was serving 12 and that was plenty. I used almost a pound of bacon and then drained 1/2 the fat off before adding the onion. I also cut back a little on the sugar but I would cut back even farther. Oh..I also used redskin potatoes b/c I knew they would be sitting in a crockpot for a few hours. They held up perfectly! Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2007
This was so good! I threw it together for a work potluck and everyone loved it! I had made a brisket for dinner the night before and saved half of it for this recipe. I served it with miniature pumpernickle bread squares. Oh...I also doubled the ammount of Thousand Island dressing b/c I LOVE it!

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
All I can say is YUM! I used minced fresh garlic instead of the garlic powder and added some celery seed. I roasted it with carrots, celery, onion, cauliflower, asparagas, and red pepper and a splash of port to keep the veggies from drying out. It was wonderful! Thanks for the great recipe!

Juicy Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
I'm reviewing on the technique more than the ingredients... I used this ccoking method on 4 8oz fillet mignon. I just seasoned them with salt and pepper, topped them with a pat of butter and broiled them for about 12 mins. per side. They came out beautifully. I topped each steak with lobster meat and gorgonzola cheese sauce. They were unbelievable!

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
YUM! I changed a few things to accomodate what I had on hand...I used milk with a little bit of sour cream, chicken stock and fresh lemon juice for the sauce (doubled it of course) and added chopped onion and garlic with the carrots. The sauce was delish over our smashed potatoes. I will be making this again soon!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2007
YUM!! I realized as I was getting the ingredients out that I didn't have any soy sauce, so I used balsamic vinegar instead (I also left out the ketchup). It was unbelievable! I sprinkled the chicken with sesame seeds before putting it in the oven, then served it with jasmine rice and steamed broccolli. My kids kept asking for more. I went out and bought a huge bottle of soy sauce so I can make it again!
