Brown Sugar Pie I

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

It's all about the sauce! The sauce was fantastic! I suppose that if the chicken had simmered with the sauce for a while longer the spices from the sauce would have added to the chicken's flavor. It wasn't quite as tasty as the Butter Chicken that I eat at my favorite Indian restaurant, but with a little experimentation with the recipe...maybe, just maybe...... Good recipe and great tasting sauce.

Italian Meat Sauce II

This recipe is for people who have the time to spend in the kitchen. Although it was stated that the prep time would be 45 minutes, I spent an hour and a half with this recipe. It could be because I made twice the number of meatballs. The browning of the meats is very time consuming. I chose not to use the wine and substitued chicken stock instead. The flavor was OK, I think that I would only make this recipe when I'm in the mood to cook most of the afternoon.

Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole

This recipe went over well with my family. My husband really enjoyed it. I couldn't find any cheddar cheese soup at my grocery store so I used a can of cream of mushroom in it's place. I also took the advice of another reviewer and added a can of cream of celery soup as well. I used small "new potatoes". I microwaved them for a few minutes (5 minutes for 14 small potatoes) before I cut them up. I used bite-sized potato chunks rather than slices and it worked out well. I don't know if I would use the cheese next time as I didn't really notice the cheese in the sauce at all. Maybe because I used 3 cans of soup (onion, mushroom and celery) that the chesse wasn't as noticable. Great recipe. Easy to assemble and to clean up afterwards. Thanks.
