This was fantastic! I have lived in Quebec all my life and have never tasted a Tarte au Sucre as tasty as this one! Great recipe, super easy and quick clean up! Thanks Suzanne! Merci!

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2003
It's all about the sauce! The sauce was fantastic! I suppose that if the chicken had simmered with the sauce for a while longer the spices from the sauce would have added to the chicken's flavor. It wasn't quite as tasty as the Butter Chicken that I eat at my favorite Indian restaurant, but with a little experimentation with the recipe...maybe, just maybe...... Good recipe and great tasting sauce.

Italian Meat Sauce II

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2003
This recipe is for people who have the time to spend in the kitchen. Although it was stated that the prep time would be 45 minutes, I spent an hour and a half with this recipe. It could be because I made twice the number of meatballs. The browning of the meats is very time consuming. I chose not to use the wine and substitued chicken stock instead. The flavor was OK, I think that I would only make this recipe when I'm in the mood to cook most of the afternoon.

Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2003
This recipe went over well with my family. My husband really enjoyed it. I couldn't find any cheddar cheese soup at my grocery store so I used a can of cream of mushroom in it's place. I also took the advice of another reviewer and added a can of cream of celery soup as well. I used small "new potatoes". I microwaved them for a few minutes (5 minutes for 14 small potatoes) before I cut them up. I used bite-sized potato chunks rather than slices and it worked out well. I don't know if I would use the cheese next time as I didn't really notice the cheese in the sauce at all. Maybe because I used 3 cans of soup (onion, mushroom and celery) that the chesse wasn't as noticable. Great recipe. Easy to assemble and to clean up afterwards. Thanks.
