I love to bake primarily, but have been enjoying trying new recipes, esp for the slowcooker. Recently lost 30 lbs so am looking for more healthy recipes or ones I can tweak and be a bit less fattening. Cooking is stress relief and it's always gratifying when you make something that people enjoy!

Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie
Simply Amazing! My boyfriend doesn't even really like turkey that much and we ate 1/2 the pie for dinner. I followed the recipe exactly except I only made one pie as there are only two of us, and I used celery salt as I didn't have any celery seed and only usd 1/4 tsp. I couldn't believe how quickly the flour/butter/chix broth/milk mixture thickened. This pot pie was simply amazing. I will NOT be buying frozen pot pies ever again. Thanks for a delicious and easy recipe! I was happy to use up my Thanksgiving turkey, extra chicken broth, and pie crusts on such a delicious dinner.

Garlic Cheese Biscuits
EXCELLENT! I read all the reviews and only tweaked this a bit. Added 1/2 tsp garlic powder to the dry mixture and increased the cheese to 1 cup. Oh, and I also added some parsley flakes to the butter/garlic mixture to brush on the biscuits. Gives it just a little more color! Brushed the biscuits before and after baking and mine came out perfect and tasted amazing. I didn't even need to butter them to eat; they were light and fluffy with just the perfect garlic flavor. The recipe says "10 biscuits" but I ended up with 14 good size biscuits. This recipe will definitely be a keeper in my family!

Slow Cooker Creamy Potato Soup
This was my first "from scratch" potato soup. I wanted one that I could put in the slow cooker and cook all day and this soup was wonderful. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out beautifully. Flavorful, great consistency, nothing to change in my opinion! I added bacon bits and cheese on top to garnish and my family LOVED this soup. It's a keeper! Thank you so much!
