Pork and Cabbage with Spaghetti

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
We loved this! I did reduce the amount of pasta, since hubby is watching carbs, down to 2 oz. (single serving acorrding to package), and it was plenty for the two of us and we have left overs!! I cooked about 11 oz of pork, but used the rest of the veggie & seasoning part of the recipe. Will make this again, it was a hit!

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Loved it! My family devoured this dish. Only changes I made was I used Lite Peppercorn Ranch, cause that is what I had on hand & used less butter. Will make this again, and recommend to anyone thinking about trying this recipe!

Awesome! Thanks! I live in Louisiana where we love our Catfish! This was wonderful, and enough to coat 5 good size filets. Will use again! Thanks!

Good recipe. Hubby asked if I could add more salt, but other than that, everyone enjoyed it. I will make this again, and learn how to get my loaves 'just right'. Thanks!

Best Ziti Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
Excellent! I used the Italian Cheeses rather than Mozerella, but otherwise followed the recipe to the letter. I halved the ingredients since I only needed to feed 4. Assembled it yesterday so only had to put it in the oven when we got in from church. Will make it again! Thanks!! Update-have made this several times now. But today for some reason I layered it in a deeper square pan, and when I finished, I realized I hadn't put in the sausage!! I mixed it all together & it still was wonderful!

Wonderful! Thanks! Made exactly as recipe written and came out perfect! Family loved the rolls. There were only 4 adults and one toddler. Last roll went home in the hand of the toddler! (he had at least 4) Thanks!! This is a keeper!

Melt In Your Mouth Toffee

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
I've made Toffee for years. Can't find my recipe, so thought I'd just try a few from this site, since I find so many good recipes here. This is my 2nd Toffee recipe to try and I had to really work hard not to stir while the Toffee was boiling (other recipes tell you to stir), and it only took 20 minutes for mine to reach the hard crack stage. It was so easy, and delicious! I did use a cast iron pot to cook in rather than the stainless steel I made the 1st batch in. Can't wait to make another one! Oh, I did place the almonds (after roasting) on the cookie sheet before pouring the hot Toffee and placed the chocolate chips on top of the Toffee and spread after a few minutes. I then topped with crushed alomonds for that Almond Roca look. Thanks!!

Zippy Summer Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
Wonderful! I had a few shrimp I had thawed out and decided not to cook the same day, so had to cook soon after and found this recipe. Reduced it to the portion size I needed and it was wonderful. I followed the recipe exactly but did use raw shrimp, we live in La., so fresh shrimp is a must! Thanks for a great easy recipe!

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
Good dish. I liked the fact that you can use just about any veggie with it. I did triple the sauce because we are a 'rice & gravy' family. I will reduce the amount of ginger next time, just too overpowering for our taste. And I think I'll add a chinese pepper or two for a little more heat. Overall, it's a good start and will make again! Thanks!

This was so easy! Thanks! Hubby asked for seconds (not fan of spinach). I did use fresh minced garlic in place of the garlic salt. Delish!!

Louisiana Crawfish Ya-Ya Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
Easy to make and quick. I followed recipe exactly as written, but found it to be too salty, wish I had added the Tony's gradually (not sure what I was thinking), we like spicey so that wasn't a problem, just to salty. Worth trying the recipe, just pay attention to the salty factor.

Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
I think this recipe is great! I would have never put ground beef in a chinese dish, but it was good. The first time I followed the recipe the next few times I had to improvise and now I use brown gravy mix in stead of cornstarch, and double the sauce. I also add some chinese hot sauce for more kick. Tonight I used ground turkey and it was really good. I will cook this again! Update-Jan 2012--once again loved this recipe!! Even my son that normally wouldn't look at Cabbage, loves it!

Chicken Breast Cutlets with Artichokes and Capers

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
Not sure what I was expecting, but it was good. Think I will drain the artichokes next time. Hubby said it tasted to 'artichokey', but he ate a good portion. I love artichokes and capers in most dishes, so will try reducing the artichoke liquid next time. Will try again, thanks for submitting the recipe!

Rachael's Superheated Cajun Boiled Peanuts

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
I've made these a couple of times, and just noticed a photo of completed peanuts and a 'bag' of peanuts. I do hope folks know that 'green' peanuts are what you are suppose to use for this recipe. I'm cooking a batch now and can't wait for the outcome. Will update this review when they finish. Green peanuts are only available certain times of the year, so to get the reall effect you might want to make sure that is what you start with. I'd never eaten these till my Mississippi husband had to have some a few years ago. So I had to figure out how to prepare some for him. So far he loves this recipe every time!! Thanks!
