Carrot Souffle

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2006
Tastes just like Picadilly's. Only problem was that I had to increase the cooking time by about 15 minutes.

Garlic Croutons

Wonderful, and very easy. It really adds to the routing caesar salad.

Amber's Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2005
The recipe was a little unclear about the actual cooking of the chicken, and the taste was a little too teriyaki for me. My husband likes it, though, so if you love teriyaki, you'll like this one.

Southwest Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2005
The temperature made it a little too crispy for me--I would do it again, but on 350 or lower. It was also a little bland, but I'm from Louisiana, so others may not think so. A little Tony's and you're good to go.

Perfect. Used butter vanilla flavoring, will never go back to box mixes! I love that this recipe uses ingredients that I already have on hand!

Meat-Lover's Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
Came out a little runny, but otherwise tasted like Ragu sauce.

Crayfish or Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
This was excellent--only criticism I have is that I wish the author had been a little more specific on cooking the sauce down until reduced--I am far from a "natural" at cooking, so I need specific instructions. ;) I brought to a boil, then simmered on medium/low until my pasta was cooked. It never really reduced, but I poured the whole thing over the pasta and shrimp and it turned out great.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
This recipe was wonderful. The gravy needed absolutely no further work, not even to thicken. I served it over mashed potatoes with a side of green beans. Mmmmm. I may reduce the cooking time just a tad to make it a little less well done--but that's just a personal preference.

Very flavorful and tender--although I did have to increase the cooking time a bit.

Manicotti Italian Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
Quick & easy, had leftovers to freeze for an even easier and quicker dinner later. Found the proportions to be a little off, used 2 jars spaghetti sauce, 1 lb Italian sausage, added mushrooms and used 1 1/2 package rigatoni pasta. Topped with mozzarella and whole pepperonis like a pizza--kids loved it!

French Toast II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
The taste was fine, but the scaling was a little off--scaled to 6 servings and there was only enough for 4 using plain white bread. The taste was pretty good, though.

Mild Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
This was great, and very easy. Will spice chicken more next time, maybe use a taco or fajita seasoning. I also topped with enchilada sauce to give it more of a Mexican flare.

Stromboli

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
VERY good, family loved this one--tastes just like a stuffed pizza. Used refrigerated, pre-packaged pizza dough and the crust came out almost pastry like (yum!). Will definitely do this again and maybe experiment with our own preferences on toppings.

Came out great! I made them ahead of time, refrigerated overnight, then baked the next day. My family went nuts for them!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2005
Came out great! Next time I would bake it a little closer to 20 minutes than 15, since it came out a little soft on the bottom, but the flavor was great and it was relatively foolproof.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2005
Instead of rolling the chicken breasts, I think I'll stuff them next time since a lot of the cheese ran out, but otherwise it was great.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Perfect! I replaced one 28oz can of whole tomatoes with crushed tomatoes just per my own preference and used garlic salt instead of garlic powder in the meatballs and I've never had better!

Ginger Pork

If you like Chinese food, you'll love this dish. Safety tip, though: make sure the hot pan has cooled slightly before adding the room-temperature chicken broth mixture. Contrary to previous misconceptions, you can burn chicken broth. :-)
