Yummy yum yum! I only use old fashioned oat meal so that's what I used. The oatmeal didn't have time to soften. I put the batter in the frig to use the next day. Wow! Was it excellent then because the oats had a chance to soften up. This weekend, I made the batter Friday night and put it in the frig to use Saturday and Sunday morning. It was so good. That's what I will be doing from now on. It's so quick to throw it together the night before and it was so creamy and nice the next morning. I did add a bit more milk like other reviewers suggested. The waffles are hearty but not too heavy and rich, but not too rich. I have been looking for a waffle recipe that I liked for quite a while. This one is the one I've been searching for. This is a keeper! Such amazingly good flavor! I used Honey Baked ham in it. Wow, was is delicious. It's such an easy recipe too. Thanks Ellie11.
