Old Fashioned Fudge

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2013
This recipe throws you off, so I will give you some tips. It says to beat the mixture with a wooden spoon until the mixture loses it's sheen and THEN pour it into the bowl. What you do once the fudge reaches the right temperature is take it off heat for 2 minutes. Then beat it with a wood spoon. After you have done that, mix in the vanilla and quickly pour the mixture into the pan. I followed the directions but once it got thick, it was un-pourable and already turning/ed into fudge. Bottom Line: You need to pour the fudge into the pan when it is still glossy and liquid-y and pourable. Follow this and you will turn out with amazing fudge.

Buttermilk Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
This is a great recipe. I made a few variations, though. I didn't have buttermilk on hand so I had to put 1 1/2 cups milk and add in some vinegar, a great substitute for buttermilk. Also, I used over 8 cups of flour for this recipe, and by the looks of it, you wouldn't be able to touch it with only 4 1/2 cups. Other than that, I followed the recipe and it was great.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2012
This is absolutely the best apple pie I could possibly taste. A few variations that I did made it better. First, mix the apples with some cinnamon before putting it in the crust. Second, DON'T MAKE THE AMOUNT OF APPLES IT SAYS!!! My pie was a very big pie and it was full of apples, and I still had tons of leftover apples. Last but not least, reduce the water in the stuff that you boil, and mix a little with the apples. Follow these variations, and you will have people asking for more.

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2012
This recipe is delicious! I made it for a dinner with a friend and it is very tasty. The skin with all the seasonings is delicious and the chicken itself was very moist. The only thing I didn't like is that most of the chicken didn't really have seasoning on it so was flavorless except for chicken flavor. If you make this recipe, be sure to not expect the whole chicken to be flavorful.

Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
This bread is pretty good. I would have rated it 4 1/2 stars if I could because the bread is a little too dense. Sometimes it gets a little undercooked, but overall it is great! Not sure what I can really do about the denseness, so I might try a new recipe next time.

French Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
I would give this 20 stars out of 5 if I could. Best bread I have made and I have already made it 5 times and people want to ORDER it from me! Much better than the store. Put cornmeal on the top too and that helps. It doesn't matter if they are ugly and it is hard to make them a perfect shape, but they are still delicious. They are cheaper and tastier than the store. YUUUUMMMMM!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
This recipe is great! Definitely not a Cinnabon (not even close) but they are very good. When I am too lazy to make my family recipe I use this one, and it is 2nd to best. Some tips: When the cinnamon rolls are rising, heat your oven to about 110 degrees, then open the oven door and put the cinnamon rolls in to rise. By the way, I make this by hand. In the filling, add more butter. Follow what another reviewer said and flip it over when it is done baking, because YES the filling does come out. Thanks!

Amish White Bread

This was not extremely impressing for me and I probably will make again sometime, though because it served as a delicious sandwich bread. For people who are reading this, if you want sandwich bread, this is for you.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
This is a GREAT cheesecake. The only thing I would add is cook it a little longer and handle it very gently to avoid cracks. Also adding more cream cheese helped too. YUM!
