Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
This is really good - and really fattening. I bet the person who thought it was runny used regular milk instead of half and half. Mine wasn't runny. I always use a little extra cheese! ;-)

Streusel Topped Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
I hate to bake, so I thought they were a little time consuming. (I think making cake mix out of a box is time consuming!) But they were so good and worth it. I didn't change a thing.

Serious Herb Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong with this when the softened cream cheese was so difficult to combine with the other ingredients. So, I added a little milk and beat it with an electric mixer. That was a bad idea. As it sits in the fridge it somehow comes together and softens. Our friends loved the flavor, but I thought it was too runny, so next time I'll stick to the original recipe. I think I might try whipped cream creese too.

Sausage and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
I made this on a Sunday morning on the spur of the moment. I took a chance with not letting it sit over night, and it came out perfect. I added cheese on top like another reviewer suggested. I also added Pecorino Romano cheese to the cheddar since I had it on hand. Great recipe!

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
I used this recipe as a jumping off point, and it turned out so good! Although, it wasn't "white" when I finished. I added a little chili powder, a can of fire roasted tomatoes, 10 oz of frozen corn and a can of black beans. Also, I always add a can of beer when I make chili - you can't leave that out. I love the idea of adding corn chips as a topper.

Chicken Enchilada Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
I made this for our Halloween party and when I went to go try it, about five minutes after putting it out, it was all gone. Everyone loved it. I made a few changes: first, I browned the chicken in a skillet, then deglazed with 1/2 can of beer and added some taco seasoning. I reduced the beer down to about 2-3 Tbsp of liquid and added that to the dip. I also added almost twice as much cheese and omitted the jalapeno because I didn't have one on hand.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
I made this for a family get together and people were begging for the recipe. It's so fattening though! I'll try making it with less butter and low fat sour cream next time.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
I make this every year for our superbowl party. I hate frying wings, but since my husband and friends make me do it, it's nice to have a perfect recipe.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
I've made this twice, and plan on making it a lot more. The chicken turns out so moist! The first time I only used 1/4 cup of butter, the second time I used 1/2 cup. We couldn't tell the difference, so I wont be using as much butter from now on.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
This is so good! I never use the liver and I like to use day old Italian bread. I also always use poultry seasoning instead of the individual spices to save time.

Taco Pies

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
I thought this was really good - but I too seasoned the beef as a browned it. I used low fat sour cream and cheese and my husband couldn't tell!

This was so good! I did have to use about 4 teaspoons of cornstarch and water instead of 2.

Hot Crab Dip I

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2006
I used an equal amount of dry sherry instead of milk, and it was way to soupy. I ended up using twice the amount of mayo and 8 oz of sour cream. I also mixed the cheese in instead of putting it on top. After these changes, it was still too soupy, so I added instant potato flakes, which thickened it perfectly. It turned out so good! Try the potato flakes, it works!

Cream of Pumpkin Curry Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
This is the best pumpkin soup I've ever had! I made it for Thanksgiving, and even my picky grandpa that hates pumpkin with a passion asked for seconds. I made one small change though - I didn't have crushed red pepper so I used cayenne.
