Chicken Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
This was good, but I've had much better chicken noodle casseroles. It was a bit dry. Not horrible, just average.

Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
Great flavor, but mine burnt. I was shaking constantly, so I don't know what went wrong. Maybe I'll try it with a non-stick pan.

Chicken Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
I used one large sweet potato, because I didn't have any other potatoes, and it turned out great. Slightly sweet and very yummy. I also used half and half thickened with flour to save a few calories.

Sour Cream Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
Great salad. I added a pinch of sugar too. Thinly sliced red onions work just as well as green. Next time I'm going to try both together.

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
These are SO cute! Our guests thought they were almost too cute to eat. You should NOT use regular cream cheese though. Use whatever flavor you like, just not plain - it tastes weird. I think that garlic and herb cheese spread would be perfect.

Artichoke Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
I added tomatoes and garlic because of the other reviews, but I would recommend leaving the recipe as is. I think it is better. I will also use artichokes in water next time, rather than marinated, because I think it will have a less sour taste.

Cheesy Potato Kugel

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2009
This was great. The food processor speeds things up, but peeling takes a long time too. I might try leaving the peal on next time. I used low fat cheddar, less oil (2 Tbsp), and only two eggs (because I didn't have any more) and it turned out great.

World's Best Bacon Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
This is a great dip. I used 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup mayo and at least twice the bacon. I also put it all in the crock pot which makes it so easy for a party.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I would definitely recommend adding cilantro and lime juice. It really freshens the salsa up.

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Just like my mom's. I loved it. I left out the potato - didn't find it necessary. The longer you let it simmer with the ham bone, the better the flavor.

Wicked Good Veggie Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Great recipe. I love how there's a hint of sweet that's not overpowering. We're not vegetarian, so I used extra lean ground turkey. We also topped it with diced avocado as well, which was great.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

We made this Christmas Eve for Christmas morning and it was wonderful! I used an extra egg and put in finely chopped fresh thyme and sage.

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
Great glaze! My guests loved this ham! I feel bad, but like others, I didn't use the pineapple juice, because we never drink it. I used apple cider in place. Also, a clementine works out great in place of 1/3 of an orange.

Cold Green Bean Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I made this for Christmas dinner, and it was good, but not the best vegetable side dish ever. 1 bottle of dressing is WAY too much.

PHILLY Slow-Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
This recipe is delicious. I thought it needed more four, but that could be personal taste. We waited for it to thicken upon cooling like another reviewer said, but it didn't thicken enough for our tastes.

I used red peppers because they were on sale, and it turned out great! The filling is so good! It took a while to get it all combined though.

This is delicious and very rich. I added a bit of cheddar and used 16oz of broccoli instead of 10.

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
My dough was too sticky, but rather than putting it in the fridge for 30 min., I sprinkled a little powered sugar in. They turned out perfect. This is the easiest cookie ever, and they're so delicious!
