Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
I took the advice of another reviewer and cut the potatoes in a large dice and didn't cook them first. I even used a metal pan. This was a mistake! The potatoes didn't get tender! Next time I will cut the potatoes in a VERY small dice so I don't have to cook them first. Otherwise, great recipe. But the extra butter in the casserole is not needed.

Manicotti Italian Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This was so good! and simple. I used frozen stuffed rigatoni, and that added an extra layer of cheese. It was like a really easy to put together lasagna.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This was just OK. If I make it again, I will definitely cut down on the chipotle chili powder. Also, I guess it was because I used an indoor grill pan, but I had to cook it about 15 minutes longer.

Twenty-Four Hour Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
When I was making this, I was thinking - there's no way just mayo and sugar for the dressing is going to taste good - but I was wrong! This is so good! I switched romaine lettuce for the iceburg and carrots for the bell pepper. I will make this often.

Spicy Maryland Crab Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This was really good, but I added 2 tsp dry sherry, and I think that's a big part of what made it so good.

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This would be a five star recipe with the addition of crumbled bacon, bacon ranch and green onions. That's what I used, and it was SO good!

Mexican Lasagna Chip Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
This is a great dip. I know Mexican lasagna doesn't seem like the right name, but after trying it(and without knowing the name) DH said, "This tastes like Mexican lasagna." So maybe it's a perfect name after all.

Faye's Pulled Barbecue Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
For simplicity, I just sprinkle on garlic and onion powder and throw it in the crock pot. After 8 hours, I pull the fat off, take out some of the liquid, shred the meat and then add the BBQ sauce. I make this for DH to take to work all the time!

Potato Soup XI

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
This is a great alternative to the really heavy cream-based potato soups. It was really good and light. I didn't have any milk, so instead of the milk and flour, I used plain nonfat yogurt, which worked really well. I also mashed the potatoes just a bit before serving.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
Perfect! This is great! I use a little beer to bring it together with the meat, and I use more onion powder only if I am not putting onions in my meat mixture.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

This was really good, but SO rich! You can't eat much. I shaped mine into a football for the superbowl and piped icing laces. It was really cute.

Hot Pizza Dip

Geat recipe. Our friends loved this one at our superbowl party. I mixed everything together the day before and then put it in the crock pot on game day, which made it so simple.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
This was good, but I think 3 chicken breasts and 1 bottle of dressing is too much. I only used about 2/3 cup dressing and 1 chicken breast.

Tempting Taters

I added milk, salt and pepper and cut down on the butter. I don't know who could eat mahed potatoes without salt and pepper, even if there's gravy on them.

Round Steak and Gravy II

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
Perfect recipe as is, but to save time, I used the slow cooker. This might sound weird, but I also added left over Cheddar Ranch Dip from this site. I needed to get rid of it, and it turned out really good.

Cheddar Ranch Dip

I think one packet of ranch is WAY too much! I had to add a lot of extra sour cream. Otherwise, it was good and so simple.
