Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
Made it exactly as written but with 1/2 the meat. It was the perfect amount of sauce and the flavor was amazing. I would definitely go with others suggestions of doubling if you use a whole pound. DELICIOUS!

Herman Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
I have super sour starter that makes amazing sourdough bread but using a whole cup of it made the pancakes wayyyy too tangy and off tasting. However, the texture of these pancakes is SUPERIOR to all other homemade ones I've tried. I'm going to try w/a friends starter and re-rate.

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
LOVED! Made it exactly as written and I was surprised at how versatile the dough was. We could reroll it unlimited times and it was smooth and you can adjust the thickness of the dough/time of baking to make them as chewy or crunchy as you want. We made both soft chewy ones and crunchy, crisp ones. Will reuse anytime we need gingerbread, found my perfect recipe, thank you!

Not so Sloppy Joe Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
LOVED! Didn't use the onions or peppers as my picky kids will barely tolerate the veggies in the canned sauce, but everyone gobbled it up! Thank you for the great idea!

Perfect Berry Shortcakes

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
Super tasty and flaky. I make it with 2% milk as I like using ingredients I have on hand and it tastes just as good. Love the grating the butter trick. I have learned that the less you handle this dough the better it is. I also full on dip the tops in turbinado sugar prior to baking. Soooooo good.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
I tend to overbuy cake mixes when they go on sale for under a dollar at the grocery store and this is the perfect way to use them up! I used Duncan Hines Chocolate Fudge cake mix with Reeses peanut butter chips. The kids LOVED them. I thought they were pretty good. I'd make this again, esp if I was in a big hurry or really needed to use up those cake mixes. Also came back to add that this recipe made over 40 cookies for me as well and they were pretty good sized.

Super Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
I halved the recipe and they came out AWESOME. I've been looking for sometime for a recipe that would mimic those Pillsbury sugar cookies with the holiday pictures in the middle...those are SO good, never could find a recipe that came close. This one is about as close as I need to get! Delicious! I substituted Sweetex shortening for the oil and people thought I had bought them commercially, they didn't believe I made them! Excellent!

Chili Seasoning Mix II

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
Omg, so good! I think I made it a bit too spicy, but it might be because I did heaping teaspoons of the chili powder? Not sure. Could be the red pepper too. But wow was it good. I too used it for Debdoozies Blue Ribbon Chili recipe on this site. My husband and picky children even loved it, despite it being too spicy. Thank you for the recipe!

Spaghetti Pie III

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
This was SO good and really easy to make. I've seen Spaghetti Pie in delis and hot food sections and have always wished I could figure out how to make it. Well this was way better than those. I'll never make regular spaghetti again. Thank you for the recipe!

Beer-Batter Onion Rings

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
Best. Onion Rings. Ever. LOVED EM! Thank you for this easy delicious recipe! I had to add more beer like the others but boy was it worth it. I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't have enough onion so I dunked a turkey sandwich in the batter and deep fried it like a Bennigans Monte Cristo. And it was soooooo good. I think I've fulfilled my fried food quota for the next six months after what I ate today!

Mediterranean Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2003
This was DELICIOUS!!! I followed the advice of other reviewers...I marinated it for 20 minutes first (and I only used 3 chicken thighs so I had a good amount of marinade). I then followed the cooking directions exactly but I basted it every 15 minutes to ensure it did not dry out. It was sooo tender and flavorful. Will definitely cook again! Thanks for the recipe!
