Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2004
Love this! I altered the ingredients since I just cook for two. Have made it multiple times.

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2005
Took the advice of a few reviewers and made these changes: 1) Use 1 bottle of Corona in lieu of water. 2) Used 1 can each of Mexican Rotel, Milder Rotel, Original Rotel. All of these already have chilis so 3)I added 1/2 of a 4oz. can of chilis and 1 TBS of minced jalapenos. 4) Added ranch dip. 5) Cooked ground beef with onion and packet of mild taco seasoning. My husband loved this recipe. I will definitely stick to using beer instead of water. It really brings the flavors together. Thanks for a simple and awesome recipe!

Cajun Skillet Surprise

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
This is a great recipe, but to make this recipe simpler I bought Tony Cachere's Jambalaya rice mix. Then cooked my peppers, onions, turkey sausage(in place of kielbasa), and shrimp. I found doing it this was you can make this dish in under 30-35 minutes. Plus, my hysbandwho always gets this dish if we eat at this certain restaurant said he coudln't tell the difference!

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
I sorted the reviews by most helpful and made them according the review that was second from the top. I made them w/o vanilla as I was out and used the creamy PB (the extra 1/2c as other reviewers suggested). This is my first time making them with PB and loved the salty/sweetness of this recipe. Thanks for the great addition to my cookbook!

Barlow's Blackened Catfish

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
I'm not really into baked fish, but I tried this recipe and LOVED it, so did my husband (we love spicy food). I left out the lemon pepper seasoning and used lemon juice as some others suggested and olive oil instead of butter. A keeper!

Chili I

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2004
This chili was good, but I was expecting something more since it took so long as to make it. I will have to be in a cooking mood to fix this one again.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2004
Tasty, but not what I was hoping it would be. Too much of a mustardy taste, I'm not big on mustard anyway. I would definitely cut the sauce in 1/2 especially if you cooking for two.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2004
Since it's just me and my husband right now, I used only 1 lb of beef and also used 12 oz. of cheese. I made 3 big layers and I like sour cream so I put a tortilla on top and spread a layer of sour cream on it, then added some shredded lettuce and fresh tomato. Will make again!

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
Definitely a keeper! My husband loved this. Only next time I will use 1 tbsp of cilantro instead of 3 and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic instead of 1. I also added a heaping 1/4 cup of jalapenos. Have to give it a little fire!

BLT Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2005
A great simple snack that take no time to make! I used the microwavable bacon a few times when in a hurry and they still turned out great. If you are making several at a time, wrap your tortillas in foil and warm for 15 minutes on 300*.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2005
This recipe is simple and delicious! I froze the leftover soup to eat later. I took the advice of some other reviewers 1)doubled my veggies + added carrots 2) I baked 5 large chicken leg quarters for an 1hr on 350, put a few of the bones in the broth with the veggies for extra flavor, and removed them before adding the chk. and nood. 3) Ended up using the cornstarch and water mixture after seeing the soup would be bit thin without it(added this before the adding the chk. and nood.).You should add it gradually over low heat. There shouldn't be a chemical reaction ;) 4) Threw noodles in about 15 minutes before time. 5) Basil is also a great addition to this soup!

Made this today and it turned out great. I used an Oreo crust. I will take the advice of a few other reviewers and use less cream cheese or extra PB.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2005
This is the 2nd time I have made this dish. The first time it was ok...very dry. This time I took the advice of one reviewer and used Bertolli five cheese spaghetti sauce(which tasted great). I also mixed the sauce in with the noodles on the bottom layer and layered the dish as suggested by some of the other reviewers. No more dry baked ziti! Great recipe!

This would be a great appetizer. Next time, instead of using bread crumbs I will use some cajun seasoning for more kick.

Tater Tot Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
I was quite disappointed after reading the reviews for this recipe. I even sorted them by most helpful and used 4 eggs and 3 cups of cheese. This was an ok recipe. I made it for a church function and it was bland. It needs a bit more tweaking before it gets 4 or 5 stars from me.

Easy Tuna Casserole

I was so disappointed after reading all the great reviews for this casserole. It's quick and easy to make but it didn't have very much flavor. Might try it again.

Party Punch VI

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
I say this punch is ok. I've definitley had worse. I think next time I'll use less fruit punch and more lemon lime soda. I had hoped this punch would have more fizz.
