About this Cook
I started cooking with my grandmothers when I was very young. I have always enjoyed baking, but I am starting to gain confidence in creating meals and improvising!
My favorite things to cook
Muffins, cookies, cakes, quick breads, pastas, chili, grilling
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has Lebanese heritage, so I grew up eating stuffed grapeleaves, kibbee, kaak, meatpies and other regional dishes.
My cooking triumphs
Learning to cook without a recipe (or just to stray from one!)
My cooking tragedies
I am sure there have been many, but I can't think of a specific example. I will be sure to update with future disasters. :)

Pasta Fagioli Soup II
Very good soup! I used ground pork instead of the bacon.

Blueberry Crumb Pie
My husband said this was the best blueberry pie he has ever had (and he's had many!) I added a little extra flour with the berries since some of them were not completely defrosted. Thanks for a great recipe!

Strawberry Jam
I haven't tasted my results yet, but they look great in the jars! It did take quite a while for it to get from 215 to 220 and also for the water to boil for the water bath. However, the process was pretty simple, just takes time!
