About this Cook
I started cooking when i was about fifteen..mostly south american food, but i have such an interest in all cultures..i always told my kids..we may not be able to travel the world now..but we can through food!
My favorite things to cook
honestly..i'm on a wicked i cook what is on sale. i like the challenge. i try to find a fantastic recipe of what i purchased. i love food from Argentina, and honestly, very simple.
My favorite family cooking traditions
beat salad, tomato salad, mash potatoes, turkey, home made macaroni and cheese, in a nut shell..thanks giving. and going to my mother's for dinner so i can take a day off.
My cooking triumphs
excellent meals on a slim must be done.
My cooking tragedies
oh wow..i made a bunch of lobsters for my husband..and was so proud. he had the face of a king when his eyes feasted on what was on the table. he picked up a lobster, put it in his mouth..and was chewing so fast and hard..but it still stayed whole..bwhahaha

Savory Breakfast Muffins
i made these as specified, but without wheat germ. i did not increase the flour to adjust the recipe, and these turned out great and moist. i added about half cup of grated cheddar cheese, and these were addictive.

Grandma's Peach French Toast
this recipe is good. i sliced a french baguette, and because the pieces were smaller, i was left with small dollops of custard in between the pieces of bread. i did use two additional eggs, but next time i will dip the bread into the eggs before pouring on the bread. i did enjoy this recipe.

Asian Tuna Patties
excellent. i had most of the ingredients except for teriyaki sauce and corn meal. Instead, i added brown sugar and a little extra soy sauce in the tuna mixture..and i used corn flour for the patties before frying. these taste great, and have a nice golden color.
