Sunday Brunch Casserole

I make breakfast casseroles often. This one has a very good texture and taste. I prefer less salt than the recipe calls for especially with bacon as the meat. I made this with ground sausage instead of bacon and it was good too. I plan to try ham next. I mix all of the ingredients ahead of time and keep in the fridge overnight, then I bake it in the morning if I am using it for breakfast.

Donna's Coconut Almond Cookies

These are good and they are easy to make. I made them even easier by adding 1 cup of mini chocolate chips in with the batter instead of drizzling it over the top and that worked out great. I gave 4 stars because the next time I make the recipe I will alter it to my preference. The almond flavoring was very strong, my kids and husband thought these smelled and tasted like Christmas cookies. I will use half the almond extract next time and make up for it with actual almonds. I think it needed that crunch of the real nuts in there too.

Chili Sauce

Easy useful recipe. When made as is it is a little too sweet. Too much allspice too. I added chili, garlic and onion powders like another reviewer suggested and it was better. Next time I will try halving the allspice, adding the extra spices and white sugar instead of brown.

Bar-B-Que Sauce

very good. I followed other reviewers advice and added liquid smoke and some cayenne pepper. I did not care for the liquid smoke taste and I wish I didn't do that. I cannot wait to try it again without the liquid smoke. I would keep the cayenne though and maybe add some honey or extra brown sugar because I like my bbq a little sweet. Thank you for the easy good recipe.

Chef John's Twice-Baked Potatoes

Very good taste. Consistency was a little too thin for me. They seeped out of the potato skin while baking down the sides to the pan. I will still make them again because they tasted good.

Ranch Dressing II

Perfect. Used 1/2 mayo 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 heavy cream because that is what I had. Next time I will use buttermilk but heavy cream worked fine. Also used 2tsp fresh chives. Yum!

Baked Corn

Perfect. Tastes very good. I used half of the water in the can or corn and drained the other half. Turned out perfect for my taste. I also did half butter and half margarine.

Buffalo Chicken Soup

This recipe is awesome. I followed the recipe exactly. I use Franks red hot sweet heat buffalo sauce and it tastes perfect. I brought this soup to a soup sampler with some lady friends and everybody loved it. My husband loved it too and he is pretty picky.

Rhubarb Jam

If this didn't taste so much like orange marmalade I would give it 5 stars. I like orange marmalade so I liked it but the orange flavor was overpowering the rhubarb. I used the fresh squeezed juice from the orange, maybe I should have used ready made orange juice. It jelled nice and is easy to eat though. Thanks for the easy recipe. I would make it again but might try a new rhubarb jam recipe before this one again.

Brownie Frosting

Spicy Dorito® Taco Salad

The dressing was great! The only changes that I made were to use ground turkey instead of beef and I cooked the onion with the meat instead of using them raw. I left out the jalapenos and I put the dressing on the side. Everything else I followed the recipe. Very good taco salad. I would serve this at a potluck.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Perfect. The recipe is 100% perfect as written. I use the largest sweet potatoes that I can find. I have also made this recipe dairy free using vegan butter sticks in place of the butter and soy milk in place of the cream and it is surprisingly very good that way too.

Banana Crumb Muffins

These are amazing as is. My daughter doesn't care for the topping so we add a handful of semi sweet chocolate chips to the batter and use no topping and those are amazing as well. Very good tasting, moist muffins.

Stuffed Zucchini

Pretty darn good. I could not eat this without rice underneath it so I gave it 4 stars. Also I cooked it double the time that the recipe states. I highly recommend serving with rice.

Strawberry-Rhubarb and Cream Bars

This was very good and I will be making it again. I halved the recipe and made it in a smaller pan. I used one small carton of extra creamy whipped topping in place of whipping the cream myself. I also probably used more strawberries than the recipe states because I didn't measure them. I brought it to a family function and all I brought home with me was an empty pan.
