Inside Out Ravioli I

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2003
I found this recipe very quick and easy to assemble. It is very heavy, but it was a nice change of pace and a good way to incorporate spinach. I made it for my whole family, and my sister absolutely loved it!

Buttermilk Scones

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2003
These scones are delicious. My daughter loved them and asks for them often. I wouldn't change a thing. I served them on Christmas morning using a angel shaped cookie cutter.

Beer Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2003
The beer and cake was a bad mix. I couldn't get past the smell and the taste of beer was very strong. It was kind of dry as well. I will not make again.

Vanilla Ice Cream V

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2003
This was delicious and very easy to make. I served it with fresh berries, but it's definitely good enough to serve alone. I will make it again.

Pan-Fried Steak with Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2003
This recipe was delicious, especially the sauce. I cooked the steaks a few minutes extra on the second side and I strained the garlic out of the sauce before pouring onto the meat. Wonderful!

Porcupine Meatballs II

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2003
These were delicious and very easy to prepare. I agree with other reviews that maybe more sauce would be better. Overall, this is a great recipe.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2003
This recipe was delicious. I have tried several recipes similar to this, but this one tasted most like the biscuits served at the famous restaurant chain. Wonderful!

Chicken Wellington

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2004
This was very easy to make, but I found it slightly bland as well. I would add a little more seasoning next time. It made a great presentation though, and would be wonderful for guests.

Baked Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2004
This was good-I agree it was a bit salty, even using low sodium soy sauce. It was very rich. I served it with au gratin rice and steamed broccoli. I would make this again.

Creamy Fruit Salad I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2004
I didn't care for the canned fruit in this recipe. There was also too many cherries. This may be just a personal preference. I would make recipe again, substituting fresh fruit for the canned.

Garlic Bubble Ring

Reviewed: May 3, 2004
This recipe definitely called for too much butter mixture. I only used about 1/2. It didn't raise much in the pan, but baked up beautifully. All in all, a very tasty recipe. I will make again.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: May 17, 2004
This bread fell slightly when I was brushing with the egg. This made it slightly heavy, but still okay. IF I make this recipe again, I will give it a longer second rising and omit the egg wash.

Easy Barbeque Chicken and Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2004
This recipe made alot of sauce and vegetables. I would probably add about two extra chicken breasts next time. Like other reviewers, I had to cook longer for potatoes to get soft. It was very easy to assemble though.

I agree, this was a little bland. Overall, pretty good and definitely low fat and healthy. I enjoyed it.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2004
This recipe was very easy and very tasty. For my taste though (and my family agreed), next time I will cut the amount of garlic to one clove or less for four servings. The garlic was pungent.

Pumpkin Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2004
Great cake! I baked this for our annual company Thanksgiving potluck and received many compliments on how moist it was. I baked it in a 13x9 adjusting the baking time and frosted with store bought cream cheese frosting. I will definitely make this again.

Stuffed Mushrooms Casino

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
These were wonderful! I normally try not to make changes to a recipe until I try it once, but I made several changes out of necessity on this one and they turned out well. I didn't have green onion, so I used yellow onion (grated- 1/4c.). I also cut the butter that you drizzle before baking to 1/4 c. instead of 1/2 c. These are very rich, but extremely tasty. This was my first try at stuffed mushrooms and they were easier than expected. I will definitely make this recipe again.

Mini Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
These meatballs were very tasty. I made them for our Christmas Eve buffet table. I couldn't find the tomato soup listed in the recipe, so I used regular tomato soup and added Italian seasoning. This was very easy and quick to make. I will make again.

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
This was good, it seemed like a few too many chips on top though. Next time I may double the chicken/bean mixture. I think you could easily substitute ground beef for the chicken too. It was tasty though, and even reheated well.

Groovie Smoothie

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2005
My family liked this recipe, but it seemed like it made closer to four servings instead of two. Three of us couldn't drink it all. I am not a yogurt fan, but I liked this. I think some sugar would take away the tartness of the strawberries a bit, as other reviewers suggested. I am anxious to try with blueberries.
