Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
Great recipe! Don't understand the amount of failures in the reviews. It's absolutely imperative that this dough be chilled before balling and rolling in powdered sugar. That means even putting the dough back in the refridgerator between batches. Otherwise, these come out picture perfect for me!

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2012
Very good! I used a 5 pound chicken, but placed it in slow cooker breast side down so it was immersed in the liquid the whole time. Excellent! Next time, I will take time to reduce and thicken sauce with cornstarch to make a thicker gravy. Served with sticky white rice, everyone licked the bowl!!

Quick Black Forest Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2012
Used a dark chocolate cake mix and can of dark cherry pie filling. Most amazing! Baked in a bundt pan for 50-55 minutes and just sprinkled with powdered sugar, didn't feel it needed the glaze to take it over the top! Very good and easy to make, will make again and again.

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2010
This is a great recipe! The only changes I made was to add three diced cloves of garlic to the sauce. Also, depending on the ribs you use, you'll need to take out some of the rendered drippings from the sauce before you thicken it. I found it would of been too greasy for my taste if left in. I served it with mashed potatoes and candied carrots. Very good!

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
I made this using three large cans of peaches in light syrup, with the syrup mostly drained off. Then topped the peaches with a 1/4 c of brown sugar and sprinkled the cinnamon on the peaches. This made a large pan of cobbler, enough for a potluck! By using items from the dollar store, I made the whole batch for under $5. Definitely a budget dessert for a batch of people!

Mom's Ginger Snaps

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2005
Yum! These cookies are quick and easy. I also doubled the amount of spices and thought they came out perfect. I used a small ice cream scoop to drop the dough into the sugar, and that made it easy to roll and shape. This is a keeper recipe!

Vanilla Ice Cream V

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2005
Super easy and good! I did warm the half and half with sugar on the stovetop until the sugar melted, then refrigerated until cold. It made the perfect size batch for my old electric freezer.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2003
This is by far the easiest and best tasting chocolate cake ever! I'm made it many times now and it always comes out rich, moist and chocolatey!! I've used amaretto or strong instant coffee instead of the coffee liqueur and it tastes great! I do recommend checking cake before the hour is up, as I found it came our over cooked in my oven after an hour. A chocoholics dream!!!!!!

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2003
This is really awesome! I used the recipe as printed on some skinless chicken thighs and grilled them. Yum!! Then I used lemon instead of the lime and marinated some boneless chicken breasts. Yum, also!! I like that I have the ingredients usually on hand, so it's easy to prepare!
