Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2003
These were really good, I did add about a 1/2 cup more flour because the batter was a little runny, and a little bit of vanilla, they turned out great really moist. I agree with the other reviewer who said that if you were a experienced cook at all you know how to judge how the recipe will turn out and add and take away whatever you want, to make it suit your taste ( something along those lines) So don't sweat it! My boys all really loved them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some syrup. They were great the next day to snack on cold to. Next time I make them I might add some chocolate chips, and make my kids day! Thank you for the great recipe.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2003
We really liked this, it was devoured very quickly. This was my first time making carmel corn, and I was very pleased with the result, following the recipe exactly the popcorn was very crisp, lower the cooking time if you like a softer caramel corn, thanks for the great recipe, we will be making this again soon.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2003
I'd give it 5 stars for how easy this is to make, 5 stars for how much you get out of it , with 3 hungry little boys this is very important. And 5 stars for the taste! they were really good, completely addictive, although VERY rich, you can't have to much at one, which I thought was a good thing until I found myself cutting off a little square, oh, every 10 minutes or so. Thankyou very much for this great recipe, we will deffinetly be making this again.

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2003
Awesome! My husband freaked out!(and that is hard to make him do)He was so excited about the recipe, that he wants to have all his friends over for a hockey party, and have me make this. I only had a small roast, so I cut the recipe in half, next time I will not do that, I will use all the soya sauce and water that it calls for, that way the flavour of the au jus will be even stronger,I also made homemade buns ( we prefer homemade to store bought) loaded up the beef, fried some onions in butter, put them on and it was great, it made it into my recipe book! Thanks for the great recipe.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2003
The best blueberry pie that I have ever had!!! My husband also loves it and said that it is the best blueberry pie that he has ever had as well. This recipe is a real keeper, I liked the fact that it was not to sweet and you could really taste the blueberries. I did not have cornstarch so I substituted it with flour, and that worked great, I used frozen blueberries and it wasn't to sloppy at all, as long as you let your pie set for a while, but that is the same with every pie, the only thing that I might do differently is take it down to 1/2 a cup of suger instead of 3/4 of a cup. Thankyou so much for the recipe, it has passed the test and is going into the cookbook!

Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2003
I thought that this was a really good recipe. The bacon added great flavor and crunch. I served it last night for dinner and there was none left at the end, to me that means the recipe is a keeper! Thankyou very much for the recipe.

German Apple Strudel

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2003
I did not enjoy this at all!!!!!!! The dough was impossible to work with, and was rock hard when it came out of the oven, Not to mention that the poppyseeds where disgusting. (although I should have known better) I didn't see how it could possibly taste good. Oh well, you win some you lose some! Thanks for the recipe anyways, I guess I am just a little bitter because I made it for a dinner party and it did not go over well.

Banana Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2003
There is nothing more annoying than when you see all the good ratings and you think you have a real winner, only to make it, and find out it tastes like a boxed cake mix, soooooooooooooo irritating to say the least. When I bake something I want it to taste homemade, not like I ran down to the grocery store before dinner and picked it up!

Cucumber Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2003
This recipe was okay, no one else at the table ate any at all besides me, I thought it to be to bland for my taste, it wasn't a total disaster, but I wouldn't waste my time making it again.

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2003
This cake was awesome my family loved it, 5 eggs is deffinetly a little much found it to "eggy" if that makes any sense, next time I will deffinetly use 1 less egg. I also put a glaze on it melted 5-6 tablespoons of butter and added a cup of chocolate chips poured over the top and sprinkled it with powdered sugar made a great presentation. Will deffinetly make this again. Thanks for the great recipe.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2003
Awesome really, really good, even my picky kids ate this one. I cooked it in the oven at 300 for 2 1/2 hours because I did not have time to put it in the slow cooker and it still turned out great!
