Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: May 22, 2012
I used this rub on pork chops that I cooked on the BBQ and they turned out fantastic. The only things I changed were I didn't add the black and white pepper as the cayenne made it spicy enough for the kids, I cut the salt down to 1 tsp and I increased the garlic powder to 1 tsp. Next time I will try it on chicken. Thanks!

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
Real simple recipe and sooo good. The only changes I made were I cut the oil to 1/4 cup and added 1/4 cup apple sauce to make-up the difference, I added 1 tsp. cinnamon and vanilla and I added 3/4 tsp. of white vinegar to the milk as I did not have buttermilk on hand. Yum!

Easy Pizza Sauce I

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
I've been making this sauce for quite some time and it always turns out (I make it the day before, tastes amazing 24 hours later). I use Italian Seasoning in place of the Rosemary. It freezes nicely as well so I double the recipe for this reason. Thanks for sharing!

Hugh's Dry Rub

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2011
I cut the salt in half as well as the cayenne pepper and black pepper just to cut back on the heat. This goes well with chicken and pork, wonderful!

Baked Oatmeal II

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
I am not a fan of boiled oatmeal so I decided to try this recipe. All I can say is...amazing! I only used 1/2 cup brown sugar and cut down the butter to 1/4 cup and added 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce as suggested by others, as well I added a 1 cup mix of raisins and dried cranberries and one chopped-up Granny Smith apple. I also added 2 tsp. of REAL vanilla extract. I will be making this often...real comfort food! Thanks for sharing!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
I made these for my son's Valentine's Day party at school and they turned out wonderful. I followed the suggestions of other reviewrs and added 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. baking powder and increased the vanilla extract to 2 tbsp. I also used milk chocolate chip cookies instead of semi-sweet as a personal preference. They are DELICIOUS! This will be come my new chocolate chip cookie recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2006
A really nice recipe, very similar to the kind you can buy in the deli section of your grocery store. I added a few things to this recipe: 1-chopped onion, 2-gloves chopped garlic and fresh sliced mushrooms (didn't really measure how many I used). I sauteed them in a mixture of olive oil and butter. I also did add about 5 large tsp. of tomato paste because I found the sauce needed a kick. I cut the sun-dried tomatoes (not packed in oil) with kitchen scissors and boiled them in water for about 5 minutes. This really helped to soften them up, they were not chewy at all. I also omitted the pine nuts. I'll be making this one again for sure!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2006
I have been making this recipe for almost 10 years now and it always turns out. I always get rave reviews from everyone who tries it. I make the dough hours before I need it and let it rise longer in the bowl. Once I roll it out and place it on the pan I stick it in the oven and I turn on the bread proof feature and let it rise for just under an hour. I find that I get a thicker crust when I do this. Love it!!

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2006
This was absolutely delicious! I added sliced seasoned grilled chicken to it and made a nice meal out of it. The only thing that I would change in this recipe is to only use 2 garlic cloves instead of 3 in the dressing. I love garlic, but found it a little too strong. Definitely a keeper!

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2005
This recipe has become a family favorite. I use 1 cup roasted sunflower seeds instead of almonds (this works best when added just before serving so that they stay crunchy).
