I make this recipe with white chocolate chips and it has a flavor more reminiscent of tiger butter - it is delicious! I also used the crunchy corn bran cereal, and it doesn't detract from the flavor.
If you choose to microwave the chocolate, heat it at 50% power for 30 seconds and stir until the bowl has cooled down, then put back in for 15 second intervals, stirring until the bowl cools inbetween. If you don't do this, your chocolate will get lumpy and crumbly and taste burnt. Also, if there is any water in your bowl, the chocolate will get lumpy, so make sure the bowl is thoroughly dry.
after mixing in the cereal, cool in the fridge for at least 5 minutes, or it will soak up too much powdered sugar and be sickeningly sweet.
