Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
A warning to all who make these - I have never seen cookies fall apart like this! Make them with a thick-bottomed pan and let them cool on a rack before you think about touching them. That said, they are very good. 12 minutes and they were done. At 15 they'd be burnt to a crisp!

Alfredo Mostaccioli

This was delicious; I would definitely make it again. It needs a little more pepper and salt. Everyone in our family enjoyed it and asked for seconds, and I especially appreciated that it was very easy to make.

Holiday Cranberry Sauce

Absolutely delicious. This is the best cranberry sauce we had ever had.. Our guests asked for the recipe. I didn't add quite as much sugar as the recipe called for and it was still incredibly sweet and perfect.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
I made a vegetarian version of this and used fake steak strips. It came out fine, but I would certainly use more rice, more cheese, and less "meat" next time. Otherwise they were quite tasty!

Sweet Corn Tomalito

This is good, but maybe a little bit too sweet! I would use half as much sugar next time.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
I made a vegetarian variant of this recipe. I used fake Italian sausage from Trader Joe's and tempeh in place of the ground beef. It worked out quite well. The lasagna was very good, but I don't think there was enough sauce. I would increase that next time. I will certainly cook this again, everyone loved it. The spices and seasonings are great.

WOW! Delicious. I did half brown and half white sugar as the only modification. These were gone from the bake sale I took them to before anything else.

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
It was a tad watery and one of the people enjoying it found it a bit too egg-y, but I liked it a lot. I would perhaps eliminate one of the eggs and add some more squash next time.

Sweet Potato Casserole IV

I don't think anyone especially cared for this casserole. It had a bland flavor and a strange, chunky texture. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
This is the best apple pie I've ever tasted, let alone made. It does get kind of soggy, but I'm still giving it 5 stars. I mixed in a little cinnamon with the apples for extra sweetness, and put a dash of vanilla extract in the sugar mixture. Delicious!

Country Fried Squash

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
The first apple pie I've ever made, but truly the most delicious pie I've ever tasted. It was a smash amongst everyone who tried it. The only change I made was to add vanilla extract to the sugar sauce, and to toss cinnamon and nutmeg with the apple slices before putting them in the pie pan. Absolutely scrumptious!
