Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2014
best banana bread I have baked. every banana bread I've ever tried comes out under baked in the middle and this one does too unless you leave each loaf in an extra 10-15 min….. but the flavor is incredible and better than any other I've tried. Especially like the recommendation to sugar/cinnamon coat the loaf pans.

Shiitake Mushroom and Cheddar Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
I am not excited about the taste of this soup at all. It was kind of bland tasting and the cheddar clumped even though I had taken the soup off the burner and let it cool a bit. Added some parm to salt/flavor it up, along with more spices. Just too rubbery overall with the cheddar and shitakes.

Gypsy Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
Yeah... uh never made a soup this healthy that tastes THIS GOOD!! Way to go! My tweaks only because of what I did/didn't have on hand: Omitted: onions and potatoes Added: 1 can kidney beans, doubled broth, 1 zucchini, soy instead of tamari. The spices in this recipe really blow this away.

Lemon Berry Smoothie

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2006
Delish! Tastes like a smoothie I'd get from one of those uppity fru fru drink stores. My alterations: used vanilla non-fat yogurt instead of berry, used rasberries (frozen) in place of strawberries, and crystal light rasberry lemonade mix.

Baked Potato Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2003
I rate this 5 stars because it only took 5 ingredients (that counts pepper!) to make such a good side dish. I used amer. cheese and light mayo, and omitted the onions and olives. Potatoes were a bit mushy, only boil them 5 min. Wow..... I think I want seconds.
