My cooking triumphs
Cooking a thanksgiving turkey for the first time and everyone said it was the best they ever had. Cooking a german chocolate cake from scratch and it turned out wonderfully. Cooking a Tres Leches cake for the first time and it also turned out perfectly yummy!
My cooking tragedies
I baked a chocolate cake one night when we were having guests over. I forgot the eggs, and needless to say my cake crumbled to pieces and wasn't even edible!

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)
This cake was great. I made a few alterations to the directions. I added the egg yolks, and beat the egg whites to peaks separately. Then folded in the egg whites. I also added 1 teaspoon of coconut extract to the milk mixture for some extra flavor. Turned out wonderful!

German Chocolate Cake III
This was a great cake. Time consuming but really good. The icing took me about 1 hour to make in itself, but was my favorite part of this cake. My cake wasn't quite done all the way through, but that's my fault and not a fault in the recipe. I did toast the coconut before adding it to the icing mixture.
