I tried out this recipe just last night and I loved it! I followed the suggestions and lowered the amount of sugar from 3/4 cup to 1/2 cup, and I was glad I did. The sweetness was just right with only 1/2 cup. I also tweaked the recipe a bit more. I lowered the amount of milk to 3 cups and added in the 1/2 cup half and half while the the hot cocoa was still in the saucepan. I also added the vanilla in while it was still in the saucepan. And also, what I found is that once I was done combining everything that it wasn't hot enough for my liking. So I just let it warm up for a bit while stirring occasionally and it turned out perfect! Also tastes wonderful with a bit of whipped cream added on top.
