Olive Salad for Muffalettas

Fantastic! I've been looking for a good olive salad recipe ever since we discovered muffalettas in N'Awlins four years ago ~ this is the closest I've tasted. It's great in almost any meat or meat and cheese sandwich ~ thanks!

Regular Crepes

Easy and versatile recipe ~ for a healthier alternative, I used whole wheat pastry flour, Splenda, skim milk, omega-3 egg product and Becel margarine. I also added 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. They were perfect and delicious filled with low-fat cottage cheese, strawberries and bananas!

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

These are great! I've made them twice now, and if you read the other reviews, you've seen that there are endless variations for the sauce. As long as you have enough to cover the ribs, almost anything goes. Two things: I used the seasoning mix from Prize Winning Baby Back Ribs (this site), and after baking the ribs, I turned on the broiler to get them really brown and crisp. That way they still have some texture and chewiness, if you like them that way.This is now our favorite way with ribs when it's too cold to barbecue (several months in Canada!).

Key West Chicken

We were really impressed with this recipe, especially the fact that it only needed 30 minutes to marinate - most recipes call for much longer prep time. I added one teaspoon of grated fresh ginger - I think it could have used a little more, but I'm a huge ginger fan. Definitely a keeper!

Prize Winning Baby Back Ribs

These are the best ribs I've ever BBQ'd - absolutely scrumptious! The only thing I do differently is shorten the cook time - I find 50 mins. is perfect, but every BBQ is different. Thanks so much Bonnie!

Lemon Ginger Shrimp

I've been searching for this recipe for years! My favourite Japanese teppan restaurant serves this as the sauce in which to dip teppan shrimp - I love it! My husband likes it on his teppan steak, too. The only thing I changed was parsley instead of cilantro (can't stand cilantro!).Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Irish Brown Soda Bread

This bread was so easy to make, & tasted great with the Irish stew we had on St Patrick's Day - I used the instant oats, & my second batch turned out better because I flattened out the loaves more - they really rise a lot, so need to start out at about one inch thick.

Easy Devonshire Cream

Absolutely delish - a nice change from ordinary whipped cream! I will use it for more than just scones & fruit - anyplace you use whipped cream, except that it is much stiffer. I froze extra in dollops on wax paper, then stored in plastic bags.
