My favorite family cooking traditions
Italian mostly. And I love spicy foods, especially those with a Southwestern flare. I also grown my own chilies.

Cilantro Chicken Burgers with Avocado
Good recipe!! I substituted fresh garlic & ginger as it give a better flavour. Garlic powder tends to smell nasty & strong. Also, I used more chopped Cilantro. Very good!

Broccoli Slaw
I have made this on several occasions and by adding some fried bacon bits, sunflower seeds and a simple home made vinaigrette it is great. The bacon when combined with the raisins really explodes in flavour.

Vincenza's Pasta Sauce
Excellent!! Please remember to throw in some red wine and chopped garlic with some Italian parsley about half an hour before sauce is finished. Then cool/and or re-heat the next day. You can "eyeball" a lot of this...fresh basil is best, and again left until the last 30 minutes.
