Baker's Secret Pie Crust

Just to add to some of the comments. Making dough will always very depending on the humidity in your home. For this reason making a pie dough in Florida is very different than making one in Arizona ;) add the liquid slowly, it should just hold together. If it's sticky through it out and start again!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

I really love this recipe and I only make a few slight additions. I add about a dash of mustard powder, quite a bit of garlic powder and paprika. I add these seasonings to taste. My family really likes it when I take boneless pork chops also seasoned with salt and pepper and add them to the last 15 to 20 minutes of cook time. (at 400 even thick pork chops cook with in 20 minutes so definitely adjust the time accordingly.) I take the aluminium foil off for that last little stretch and sprinkle the top with breadcrumbs.

Potato Leek Soup III

Very easy and delicious. My kids destroyed this soup and my company asked to take the leftovers home. Be sure to stir when adding the cream, the directions may be deceptively simple for a new cook who doesn't know that cream will separate if pour directly into boiling liquids.

Spinach Salad Supreme

This very simple dressing keeps well and pairs nicely with the hard boiled eggs, spinach and bacon. I used olive oil and boiled the eggs earlier in the day, cooling at room temperature, so that they we still slightly warm when serving the salad. Gorgonzola Cheese is a nice addition. Even my picky 7 year old enjoyed this dish
