Sensational Salmon Loaf

Delicious!!! Will definately add this recipe to my regular recipe routine. I added 1 T. dill (per comment below), 1 - 2 T. lemon juice, and since I didn't have crackers or bread crumbs I used Old Fashioned Oats and increased the milk a bit to keep it from drying out (from comment below).

Chicken Pot Pie IX

I've made chicken pot pies for years, but never had a recipe. Sometime they would turn out great, and sometimes we all wished I would have had a recipe. :) By using this recipe I ended up with perfect pot pies. I made mine in individual serving pies and instead of store bought crust I made the Basic Flaky Pie Crust on Allrecipes. PERFECT! Definately will make this again! No more off-the-cuff pot pie disasters in my kitchen anymoe.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Amazing!!! I've made pie crusts with these ingredients before, but had never thought of cooling the shortening. That is the key to get a flaky crust. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

The flavor of this soup is amazing! I was afraid it would be too spicy, but with a dollop of sour cream it is just right. One thing that I wold change is the amount of liquid. It seemed to be too thin. Other than that it was wonderful and I will definately make it again.

Authentic Chinese Egg Rolls (from a Chinese person)

THESE ARE WONDERFUL!!!! I was short on time so I had to make some adjustments, and it still turned out very good. First I didn't have the meat called for in the recipe. In the other reviews I saw several who used the Chinese Pork Tenderloin recipe. I didn't have time to cook a tenderloin so I took the ingredients from the Chinese Pork Tenderloin recipe and added them to raw sausage that I browned. Mmmmm... I also didn't have any msg. Other than those two changes I made the recipe as written. It won rave reviews by everyone. Will definately make these again!

Oatmeal Bread I

Just made this recipe for the first time. While it is light the loaves didn't get as tall as I would have liked. I also had to let it rise for more than 90 minutes. I think the next time I'll only make 3 loaves instead of the multiple loaves written in the recipe. Made it with honey, but next time will use 1/2 honey, 1/2 molassas because I think the molassas will add a good flavor. Overall I like the texture and will probably make it again.

Apple Crisp II

I think this is the best apple crisp I've ever had! Made the recipe as written. It was made it as a second dessert for a dinner party, and it won rave reviews...was deemed the best dessert there. Will definately make this again!!

Good 100% Whole Wheat Bread

Great recipe! I've tried other 100% whole wheat bread recipes without much success. These loaves were light and delicious! I read other reviews and since I didn't have gluten I also mixed some bread flour in with the whole wheat flour (1/3 bread flour and 2/3 whole wheat). Also, I don't have a bread machine so I mixed everything in my stand mixer with dough hooks and then finished kneading by hand. Sprinkled tops of loaves with wheat bran and toasted wheat germ, which added a nice touch. Bread raised well and made beautiful loaves. Doubled the recipe and gave one loaf to a friend. Got a text from her saying she loved it.
