Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2005
Oh my, this is soooo good! I'm drinking it right now! It's like a Capuccino Blast (from Baskin Robins) without the ice cream! I am so HAPPY I found this recipe. I wouldn't change a thing. You could add the whip cream and cinnamon or chocolate sprinkles to the top, but I don't think it needs anything. Thank you so much for this recipe. I will be making this over and over and over.... Thank you Janice!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
WOW! My husband said this was the best chicken he's ever eaten. It was really good! I didn't have any rosemary, so I used dried Basil instead, and I marinated it for probably 2-3 hours. It turned out awesome! I will be making this again and again. Next time I might marinate some mushrooms in this marinade and make some kabobs with peppers and onions! YUM!

Grilled Rib Eye Steaks

Reviewed: May 30, 2008
This is really good! I made 1/2 the recipe and marinated two ribeyes in a ziplock bag for about 3 hours, and they were delicious. I used low sodium soy sauce and garlic salt instead of garlic cloves (forgot to buy garlic). My boyfriend and I loved the flavor. I always use A1 on my steaks, but the flavor was sooo good I didn't even use it this time! I will definitely be making this again!!

Crab Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
This was really good. Only changes I made was I added a little extra mayo, used 1 teaspoon celery salt instead of celery seed (that's what I had on hand) and some chopped green onions. I made it today for Father's Day, and I think it will be a hit. ***Here's an idea. After making the salad, stuff it inside of cooked jumbo pasta shells for a great appetizer. It makes a great presentation and people love it! I had this once at a work potluck and it got rave reviews. Thanks for the recipe - it's great!

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 7, 2007
Oooohhhhhhh these are so good. The only change I made was I used butter flavored shortening instead of butter. They turned out so good... big and chunky! They're the best cookies I've made. Hands down.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
I just made this Tilapia for dinner, and it was awesome! I am very picky about fish, and I usually don't like any recipe I try, but this one was really good! I only made half the recipe for my husband and myself, and he was disappointed that he couldn't have seconds :) I will definitely make this again. Thanks for the recipe!

Simple Country Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
Ok, so I have made country ribs many times before, and I've always seasoned them with salt and pepper & boiled them in plain water before grilling them with bbq sauce... and I thought they were pretty good. Well, let me tell you. I will never make them that way again! I am so glad I tried this because the ribs had so much more bbq flavor and they were so tender and moist. They came out dry sometimes when I did them my old way. I only made about 1 lb. since it's just me and my hubby, and they were awesome! Thanks for the recipe!! It's definitely a keeper!

Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2007
I thought this was really great! I used Classico basil pesto. Next time I will use half the pesto. I picked up Knorr alfredo mix, which was only 1.6 oz. Next time, I think I will try a jar of roasted garlic alfredo sauce. I also used a whole 9 oz. bag of spinach, and I honestly can't see how 2 cups could be enough. The amount I used shrunk down so much, it was perfect. Good recipe!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
I have just started making cookies, and this is my second recipe. I made Peanut butter ones first, then these. I thought they were awesome! I halved the recipe since it's just me and my hubby, and I used Butter flavored crisco instead of butter. I ended up with 16 cookies. I don't know why some people think they aren't sweet enough - I thought they were perfect. I ate one before they were completely cooled, and wow, they were yummy. My husband thinks I'm Betty Crocker or something... he has no idea how easy they were to make! I can't wait to try another one.

Sweet Corn Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2006
Yummy, this was really good! I increased the sugar to 1/2 cup, and it tasted just right. A friend of mine asked for the recipe, and my husband loved it too. I only had 1/2 cup of all purpose flour so I used 1/2 cup whole wheat flour and it turned out a bit crumbly but I think it's becuase of the whole wheat flour. The sour cream did great to keep it moist. I will make it again when I get more regular flour ;o) Very good recipe!!

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2006
This is the first time I've made broccoli cheese soup, but I've always loved it at restaurants and when other people have made it. This recipe was SO easy! I accidentally bought Queso cheese instead of regular cheese, and it still turned out good. I added a few slices of American cheese and a cup of shredded cheddar cheese since I made that boo boo. I don't think white pepper is necessary if you don't have any on hand... I bought some since it called for it, but black pepper would work fine. I've never used white pepper, so I wasn't sure. I loved the soup, and I will definitely make it again. Next time I'll get the right cheese though. :o)

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2006
After I started making this, I realized I did not have any sour cream, so I just added about 1/2 cup of milk to the soup mixture instead because that's all I had. I thought it turned out good anyway. I will make it again with sour cream and see if there is a difference, but this is a really yummy recipe! Thanks!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2006
These are really good! I can't compare them to those at RL since I've never eaten there, but I can say these are yummy and soooo easy to make. I used Pioneer Brand Buttermilk Biscuit Mix. I made one batch and used 1 cup of cheese, then I made another half batch to make sure I had enough for my family dinner tonight. The 2nd batch, I added some garlic and onion powder to the mix, and it was good like that too. If you like a stonger garlic taste, I'd recommend doing it that way. I will definitely be making these often. Thanks for the recipe! Oh and I didn't have parchment paper, so I just simply sprayed my cookie sheet with nonstick spray, and it worked fine.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
This french toast is really good! I tried one other recipe before this (French Toast I), and I liked this one much better. I have already made this twice. I reduced the recipe to make only 4 slices since it was just for me & used regular white bread, and it was great! Thanks so much!

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
This was my first attempt at making lasagna, and it turned out great! The sauce is so good. I followed the recipe exactly as it's written, except I used Barilla no boil noodles, and I used ground sirloin. This recipe is really great. I love cheese, so next time I might add some extra mozzarella and use a little more of the cottage cheese mixture. This was really easy and fun to make... a little time consuming, but worth the wait!

Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2005
Great fish! I don't even usually like fish, but this was really good! It's the first time I've made fish and actually liked it. I made some minor adjustments - I used parsley flakes instead of fresh and I forgot the lemon juice, so I put a splash of lemonade in it - may sound strange, but that's all I had available! It turned out great. I will definitely be making this recipe again.

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2005
Excellent recipe! This is so easy to make. I used one can of cream of chicken soup and one can of cream of celery soup, and I added a pack of Ramen Noodle chicken flavored seasoning to the water when I boiled the chicken. (I didn't have any boullion cubes.) I used Grands Biscuits and I agree that the definitely need to be cooked longer than 8 minutes. As suggested by other users, I tore the biscuits into 6 pieces each and cooked them for 8 minutes uncovered and then 8-10 minutes covered. I thought they turned out great. I will definitely be using this recipe again. I love it! How could you NOT call this Chicken and Dumplings????

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
Good, simple recipe for sausage gravy. I followed the recipe as written, except I took out about 1/4 cup of the sausage. Next time, I might take out more or make more gravy. I like more gravy/less sausage. I let the gravy sit for a few minutes while the biscuits finished, and it got really thick, so I added some water to thin it out. It still tasted great. I will make this again.
