Woaw. I made those two weeks ago but it was a complete failure. I thought, since most reviews were so good, that I made something wrong. The top never seemed to bake so I let those a bit too long. Also I ran out of Baking powder and used extra baking soda. Also I forgot to turn on the oven so the battery had to sit a bit (bad bad bad thing...) It turned out good but they were so overcooked they were like hard cookies.
This time I used the baking powder and even if it was still way undercooked, I took them out (I was ready to put them back in if I saw they didn't "set" properly). Well, they turned out perfect :) A bit too sweet for me and I probably will cut the salt next time but the texture was absolutely perfect (and that was what I was looking for) a bit crispy on the edge and chewy and not completely cooked on the inside.
A few tips though: Since you use Baking powder, you need to put the battery in the pan and bake them right away. Don't do that in advance. If you don't like your dessert too sweet, cut a bit on sugar.
Oh and I didn't have nuts so I didn't use them. Thanks a lot for this recipe.
