Butter Flaky Pie Crust

I and my family really liked this recipe. I added vanilla and cinnamon in the batter for flavor and sprinkled the loaf with cinnamon sugar when it came out of the oven. Otherwise followed the recipe as written. I'm not sure why it turned out so dark, maybe the brown sugar... but I'll make it again for sure.

Coffee Frosting

I like the flavor of this frosting but I think it would go best on a cake that isn't overly sweet. Maybe a Devil's Food? I don't know, but it was definitely too sweet for the chocolate cake recipe I used it on.

Savory Apple Pork Chops

This would be a 5 star, but I have to say, it was SO ugly! It tasted great, though. My 13 yr old daughter actually stole 1/2 of my husband's dinner that I left for him because he worked late. I'd make them again, but maybe I'll put the ketchup UNDER the apples instead of on top. I also added some butter to mine because there was very little fat on my chops.

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Great recipe Kevin. I made it as you wrote it, frosted and filled it with fresh cream cheese frosting. I put sliced bananas between the layers and a few on top, sprinkled it with crushed walnuts. It was moist, tender, nice texture and flavor.... and a gorgeous cake.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

The second time I made it, I doubled the recipe. I also substituted buttermilk for the liquid, added 1T vanilla, and baked for 35 minutes. I sifted powdered sugar over the finished cake. It was the right size when doubled. The buttermilk makes it lighter. A very moist, tasty and easy recipe.
