Snowball Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
This recipe should have a disclaimer: LET COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE FLIPPING OUT OF BOWL. With that said, it was a goopy mess because I rushed it. Better yet, stick it in the fridge over night before flipping. Also, I did as another user suggested and used white chocolate pudding mix for the icing part of the recipe, and it tasted terrific.

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2008
This recipe is the easiest for family gatherings. I used six eggs, but I only used 3/4 cup milk. This is important because I think it would have been soggy if I used all of the milk! Everyone in my family said it tasted just like a cinnabon. I also substituted almond extract for vanilla extract, as another reviewer had posted. I'll definitely make this a family tradition!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
I will never buy canned sloppy joe again. I did as others did- I used 1/2 ketchup and 1/2 of my favorite bbq sauce. I also added a slice of american cheese. Just awesome.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2006
Everyone in my family downed this meatloaf as if it were there only chance. Now it's become quite the request for dinner. It's mighty tasty.

Chicken Delicious

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2005
A five star recipe with some modifications. First, I went with two cans of cream of mushroom, as I don't like cream of celery. Then, add a touch of dill weed, a spring of rosemary, some cayanne pepper if you like to spice things up like I do, and as much garlic as you so choose. It came out much more flavorful than the soup mix alone. You gotta spice it up a little and you'll have a new flavor-craze.

Gumbo Style Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
This is a five star recipe with some alterations. First, add some chicken stock, about 1 1/2 cups. Also, to kick it up some, I cut up a jalepeno and simmered it with the other peppers. I added a little of cayanne pepper and the finishing touch- a little sherry. Magnificent. Serve over white rice!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: May 12, 2005
Outstanding. My husband said it something his mother would never be able to cook (but if she had this recipe, she could!) That, my friends, is the ultimate compliment. I served the fish over three-cheese ravioli, and used fresh basil instead of dried.

Sweet 'n' Hot Glazed Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2005
This is an easy and tasty dish. The salmon came out wonderfully, and I served it over white rice to soak up the remaining glaze. I kept the broiler temperature at about 375 degrees. Thanks for the contribution!

Barbeque Seitan and Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: May 8, 2002
What great taste! I added black olives and extra cilantro. I also added a little cajun seasoning to the rice while it cooked. I surprised my roommate with the recipe, and we both loved it.

German Chocolate Brownie Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2001
My mother loves German Chocolate cake. I think she likes these cookies even more! I can't wait to make another batch. These cookies impressed my brother who is critical of everything. All the cookies were gone in two days. Make sure to let the icing cook awhile and if it seems runny, add more sugar. I definitely will make these again.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2000
My boyfriend always orders this dish when we go out to eat, and he raved that this recipe was better! I added more cajun seasoning, and instead of two cups heavy cream, I used one cup heavy cream and one cup cheddar/jack shredded cheese. Excellent!

Chicken Costa Brava

Reviewed: May 22, 2000
I added mandarin oranges, green olives, and curry to this wonderful dish. I could've eaten the sauce alone, it was so chuncky and flavorful!
