My 13 year old insists that he hates lasagna, but I was craving it - so I made this instead - it was perfect! I cut the recipe in half since there were only 3 of us (I just broke the lasagna noodles in half prior to cooking and used an 8x8 square casserole dish). Other than that the only thing I changed was to only use 1/2 a package of the spinach. I'm not a huge spinach fan and tend to find the flavor overwhelming. I might use fresh spinach leaves if I made it again and that might make a difference too. But that's just a personal preference - other than that - I followed the recipe exactly and it was a huge hit!

Oh my gosh! I didn't believe it was possible to make pork so juicy and tender! I've been trying to find a way to cut back on red meat - as well as save some money - so I picked up a package of pork steaks at the store, I found this recipe when looking for ways to cook them other than the grill. My husband normally doesn't care for pork because it's so tough and bland. This was juicy, fell off the bone and we were able to eat it with a fork! The only modifications I made were - I dry rubbed the steaks with some greek seasoning before searing them. I didn't have any white wine, so I used a little sweet red, and I didn't have an onion soup mix - so I just chopped up a medium sized yellow onion and threw the fresh onion on top for cooking. I served the steaks over brown sticky rice with the broth/juices as a gravy. It was fantastic!!! Will definitely be making this again!

This was my very first attempt at making Cheesecake at all. It was difficult, but the results were worth it. It was amazing!!!

I first printed this recipe almost a year ago, and it has become my 'go-to' marinade. I use it on salmon and steak both. Even if I'm short on one ingredient or another - the overall flavors are still there. This is absolutely an all around winner. Last time I grilled salmon with this marinade, our dinner guests were amazed! Definitely compliments the fish and works with it without being over powering!

Had a random craving for egg noodles like the ones my mom used to make when I was little. I knew they were pretty easy - but couldn't remember how. This was exactly like she used to make and were the perfect addition to my chicken soup!

This was a hit with our family. The only modifications I made were that I did not have any bacon so I left out that step and just cooked the veggies in olive oil and I also did not have ham, so I just let that out. But the end result was fantastic and everyone really enjoyed it!

This was a HIT! Light, fluffy, just the right amount of pumpkin flavor. I'm not a pumpkin fan, so I thought I'd try this instead of traditional pumpkin pie at thanksgiving and I really enjoyed it! Will definitely continue making it!

My husband and I first had Butter Chicken in India on the road to see the Taj Majal in a small street side cafe. We absolutely loved it and had it several more time over our 3 months we traveled in India. Back in the states - we were unable to find really good butter chicken at the local Indian restaurants. So I decided to take it upon myself to make it and this recipe was PERFECT! I did follow the alternate directions that the original poster added (using 1/4 cup butter and evaporated milk instead of cream) - and the results were fantastic . My local store did not have the tandoori masala - so I just omitted it and added a little extra of the garam masala - but it probably would have enhanced the flavors even more. I'll be on the lookout for the tandoori masala so I can make this again . It's definitely going in the 'rotation'. I served it with Naan and even the kid loved it - especially when we told him he didn't have to use any silverware! Definitely brought back good memories of our time in India!

I was craving some sort of Cuban or Brazilian food and ran across this recipe. I thought I'd give it a try - and am SO GLAD I did!! I started cooking and realized I was out of soy sauce AND I didn't have limes like I thought I did, so I didn't think it would turn out - but it was fantastic! I had a few packets of soy sauce leftover from Chinese take-out, and I used lemon juice instead of lime for cooking. I also used cilantro instead of parsley (as the note says you can). I shredded my pork at the end instead of serving whole, but that's a personal preference. Served with juices over saffron rice and fried plantains - fantastic dinner that even the kid loved! Can't wait to try this again with the CORRECT ingredients!

My husband's Italian family makes a version of this and I was hoping to surprise him with an even better version. This was good - but not what I was looking for. I used kielbasa instead of italian sausage (his family uses kielbasa) and I thought that substitution was fine, didn't seem to make a difference overall. I stuck exactly to the recipe for everything else. It was "good" - but not "great". I thought the potato portion was overwhelming. I will cut back on the potatoes next time (or omit them altogether). Also - the recipe doesn't really explain the potato part very well - do I cook them COMPLETELY on the stove top? Or are they going to finish cooking in the oven? I ended up having to cook the dish in the oven closer to an hour because my potatoes weren't getting done. I think with a little tweaking to the recipe, this would easily be 5 stars. But cooked as-is, it was just good. I'll still try it again with a few other changes and update my review then.

This was great for dinner on a cold rainy winter night! I only gave it 4 stars because I thought it might not be quite as filling since the original recipe didn't call for any meat. I browned some crumbled Italian Sausage separately and added that to make it more substantial. I also used about 32 oz of chicken stock that I had frozen from before, and added 4 of the small cans of spicy V8 and 1 can of tomato paste. I did have to add a little cornstarch to thicken a little - but if I'd let it simmer longer it probably would have cooked down. BUT - overall, it was fantastic. Served in big bowls with crusty french bread to dip into the broth. Making me want to go get a bowl right now after writing this review!

I was in a hurry and didn't have time to go to the store before my husbands poker night. They guys ALWAYS plow through a ton of food, so I was searching for something to put out that was filling and made good use of the hot dogs I had on hand. This was PERFECT! The only change I made was adding diced jalapenos to the mix and chopped the hot dogs very small. I was able to get 24 muffins and served them with a side of mustard. They were a HIT! And VERY CHEAP! Great recipe!
