Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
After all the rave reviews, I was expecting better. It tasted good and everything, but it wasn't amazing. As others suggested, I soaked the cornmeal in the milk for 10 minutes. Mine baked for about 22 minutes.

White Chocolate Gorp

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
AMAZING! ADDICTING! WONDERFUL! Need I go on? I definitely had the stomach ache to prove how great this recipe is. I did play with the recipe a bit, and these are the measurements that I recommend: 7 cups chex (I used Crispix), 4 cups cheerios, 4 cups pretzels, 4 cups cashews (I also used dry roasted peanuts). I also think next time I will not use M&M's, but instead use Reese Pieces (the M&M's were just too much chocolate). If you want to be popular, definitely make this recipe :-)

Broccoli and Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
Absolutely delicious! My dad is still raving about it. I definitely played with the recipe, though. 1/2 cup mayonnaise is not nearly enough, instead I used 1 1/4 cups. I used 1/2 cup raisons (though I will probably use more next time) and omitted the sunflower seeds for a 1/2 cup sliced almonds. I didn't use all of the onion, either. This is a must-make recipe!

Ham Loaf I

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2007
This is the first time I have ever even tasted ham loaf, and it was delicious! My dad raved over it too. I was afraid that I wouldn't like the glaze, but that's what made it so great. I will definitely make this again.

Graham Streusel Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 19, 2007
I actually didn't taste this cake, but if it tasted as good as it smelled, than I am sure it is delicious. One comment though.. the recipe calls for WAY TOO MUCH BUTTER! All of the streusel will sink to the bottom if you use the amount of butter it calls for. I will probably make this again, but this time I will cut way back on the butter.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2007
Even though I have never actually tasted this myself, I made it for a bake sale and people raved about it. By the way it smelled when it was baking, I knew it was a keeper. These are the changes I made: 1 1/2 cup flour instead of 2, 1 t vanilla, and for the topping I used 1/4 cup brown and white sugar each. I tossed my blueberries in 1 T of flour before adding them to the mixture. And I baked it for 50 minutes. AMAZING.

Broccoli Salad IV

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2007
A very delicious broccoli salad; the first that I have ever made, and I will certainly make again. Instead of using sunflower seeds, I used sliced almonds. Next time I make it, I will use less red onion.. I only used half of what the recipe called for, and I still thought it was overpowering!

Cookie Dough for Ice Cream (Eggless)

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
Wow! What a simple, great recipe. Based on the other reviews these are the modifications that I made: I doubled the amount of vanilla, 1 1/2 TB milk instead of water, 2 TB of brown sugar, and I added a little over a 1/4 of a cup of mini chocolate chips. When completely mixed, I wrapped it in plastic wrap, rolled it in a log, and froze it. I then sliced up the log (how you would for slice and bake cookies), and quartered each slice. Amazing!

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
Though I haven't made this exact recipe, the Strawberry Pretzel Salad that my family makes (which I am pretty sure is the exact same) is AMAZING. Very addicting, and it always gets rave reviews. Guaranteed.

Granny Mabel's Best Bar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
The other weekend I had bars similar to these and I wanted to find the recipe, so I tried this one. These aren't as good as the other ones I had previously, but I recieved many compliments on them.

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
It has been awhile since I made this, but I do remember that I accidently overcooked the recipe. Overall it was good, but Bob Evan's banana bread is still the best I have ever had.

Crispy Rice Candy

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2006
These are amazing! The only things I did differently than the recipe was that I used more rice krispies than what they called for (atleast a cup more), and instead of dropping them by spoonfulls, I poured it into a pan with wax paper, and after the had set, I but them into little squares. Everyone raved over them, and I will definitely make these again. Next time I might use just "normal" peanuts instead of dry-roasted.

Peanut Butter Crispies II

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2006
These are absolutely delicious! I will definitely make these again. Next time I might add PB M&M's when I stir in the warm peanut butter mixture with the cereal.

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2006
These are delicious! I put almonds, coconut, and the mini chocolate chips into these granola bars. I'll definitely be making these again. By the way, make sure you let them cool before you cut them.

Cookies 'n Cream Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2006
What a beautiful cake! The overall appearance will make anyone's mouth water. The cake was very rich, though, so small slices are ample. The only changes I made was that I used 1 1/2 cups crushed oreo cookies, and instead of using whole oreos on top, I just crushed more cookies and sprinkled on top.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2006
This was a good recipe, but not worth the 5 stars. My dad did have thirds, though! I made a few changes. Instead of olive oil, I used vegetable oil, and I replaced the cream of mushroom soup with cream of celery. Also, I omitted the wine and used water instead. I will be making this again.

Pigs in a Blanket

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2006
I made these for me and my sister, but we changed the recipe up a bit. Instead of using biscuits, we used refrigerator crescent rolls. For each crescent roll, we used half a hot dog and half a slice on cheese. Then we baked them for about 7 minutes. They are a tasty little treat.

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
This is a great recipe that I will make again. I omitted the white wine. Next time I make this, I will probably use less of the pasta. I might layer the pasta/meat mixture with the cheese instead of just having all of the cheese on top. Definitely give this recipe a try!

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: May 29, 2006
What a great recipe! I made the "dough" the night before and let it sit in the refrigerator. The next morning I rolled it into balls and dipped in the candy coating. My style of "dipping" was dropping the whole ball into the melted coating and then scooping it out with a spoon. The only thing that I would do different would allow put the "dough" back into the refrigerator for some time after I rolled it into balls. Everyone loved them! I had leftover candy coating, so I dipped pretzels into it. Delicious!
