Healthier Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
I loved how these came out! The only thing I did differently, was use Fage greek yogurt instead of cream cheese(didn't have any) in the icing. It had the perfect texture and flavor! Also used a little vanilla Natural Bliss creamer to make it the right consistency for us....Yummo!

Red Wine Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2012
This cake has nice flavor, but has a very dry dense texture. I followed the recipe to the tee, except that I used two 8 inch pans. I was very disappointed as I have been looking for a wonderful moist cake that I could use leftover red wine. Perhaps it needs for liquid or oil? I didn't expect this kind of texture considering how much butter is in this recipe.

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2014
This pie was exactly what I was looking for! Extra flavorful with the mixed varieties of apples and all the spices and the streusel just tops it all off! Fantastic recipe!

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2014
This is a very comforting latte for a cold fall or winter night or anytime! I used regular coffee since I already had some brewed and it still was very good especially if you prefer only a light coffee flavor. I followed the recipe exactly except I blended the milk with a frothing will instead of the blender and that gave just as good a result. Overall, one of my new favorite home made lattes!

Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
Pretty good recipe, except that the pancakes come out flatter than I prefer. Overall good flavor.

Absolutely the best marinade for chicken I have ever tried. Breast meat comes out perfectly juicy and moist every time!

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2012
These came out fantastic! I had to use cream corn in place of regular corn and just drained the excess fluid and it still came out great! I also made a variation for vegan guests by using TVP reconstituted with one packet of ChiChis salsa seasoning then added the other ingredients from the recipe and it was fantastic as well! Everyone raved over this recipe, and these chimis also reheat very well by wrapping in foil and sticking in oven (even the toaster oven!) at 350 for 30 min. Piping hot and crusty on the outside! Yum!
