Grandma's Doughnuts

We loved these! Quick and fun! They floated as soon as they were put in the oil so I just waited until they were a dark golden brown on one side then flipped and waited until dark golden brown then removed them. You could use half the amount of oil if desired. I cooked these in a 3qt pot 3 at a time. They came out perfect. Going to make these for a P.J party this Fri!

Cinnamon and Lime Chicken Fajitas

It is a fav in our house. Just covered the chicken with foil(Helped keep it moist)and kept checking so it did not dry out/burn.

Southern Fried Cabbage

Made this for New Years and the whole fam loved it! I thought it was to oily but still really good. Followed recipe exactly. Next time I'm going to just use the bacon fat only to fry it in. Maybe add a little oil if needed as I go but I think it can be done without.

Holiday Cranberry Sauce

Been using this for a few years but this year I added a can of pineapple chunks along with the cranberries and it was yummy! I figured it would add more fluid to the sauce, and it did become watery and was not thickening but I added the rest of the sugar (1/2 cup) and simmered a little while longer and got it thick. Normally I only add a 1 1/2 c sugar.

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Tried this recipe 3 year ago and it was a big hit! Kids ask for this one every year. The only thing I do a little different is that the pinch of cinnamon has gotten bigger every year, yum! Lol. This has become a great family tradition and one that my kids associate with good memories. Thanks!

Yia Yia's Tzatziki Sauce

Was delightful as is, yum! But I like dill and lemon so I added 2 lemons juiced and 1 bunch of Dill minced. I gave it 4 stars because I have still tasted better. But I will definately make again!
