Chile Verde II

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
This was AWESOME!! I have a lot of people to please when it comes to dinner and so finding a recipe that is a crowd pleaser isn't always easy. This one was the best. One of the people that partook in this was my father-in-law who said it was the best he's ever had! One change I made was I added roasted anaheim peppers. So yummy!!!

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
This turned out wonderfully!! The meat falls right off the bone! Although I did make the mistake of grabbing a pork shoulder picnic roast. But now we're having pulled pork sandwiches later this week! No loss here!

Tortilla Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
This was a hit with my family. I've been making a chicken tortilla soup for my family that was given to me a couple years ago. All of it was made from cans. Sure it;s quick and easy but fresh is always better. I really like the kick this soup gives you as you keep eating it. Great recipe!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
This is the same pot roast I grew up with! I've made it twice now and it is now a weekly to bi-weekly meal for the winter. :-)

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
I love how versatile this recipe is. The author makes it for breakfast but if you add a few veggies like peas, carrots and onions, you've got a great dinner casserole!!

Angel Fruit Trifle

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly but also made my own whipped cream. The recipe says 12 servings but I can assure you it fed more than twelve. This was a hit at a family party.

Simple Savory Pork Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
I converted this recipe to a slow-cooker so my family would have dinner at a decent time since I work during the day. Very simple but I used garlic powder instead of salt. (I watch my family's salt intake and pork is naturally salty.) It turned out wonderfully with mashed potatoes and cauliflower.

Marinated Ranch Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
This is a great recipe. Quick and super easy even when you increase the amount of servings. In addition I usually dry out the boneless chicken breasts but these turned out so juicy. It says to marinade for an hour but I did it for 8-9 hours. Turned out wonderfully!!

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2012
This turned out wonderfully. I ended up marinating the meat for 28 hours by accident but it just made it all that much better. The only problem was doubling the recipe wasn't enough for my family.

I made this on a Saturday afternoon with an awful snowstorm blowing outside. It was a perfect lunch to warm the body.

Pork Chops with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Garlic, and Feta

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
This is an awesome recipe. As long as you prep everything before you start cooking it's super easy to make. Great flavor but I recommend boneless porkchops for this recipe.

Chiles Rellenos (Stuffed Peppers)

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
I chose this recipe because it was the only recipe on this site that offered a 4 1/2 star rating but the payoff was not worth all the work that went into the recipe. I made it with a bed of ranchero sauce as well. This was just too much work for not so much flavor.
