The best day of my life: 10/19/10
About this Cook
I am a 31 year old mother of a 14 1/2 mo old son. I previously was an Assistant Property Manager in the multifamily housing industry but recently have ade a huge switch to being an at home Mom. I am loving having more time with my son and to take care of our home and prepare great recipes every night (as I never had time with 11 hr days including commutes 5 days a week)!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking spicy and with lots of flavor....bland does not do it for me and my family!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother is an excellent cook and has passed down many of her recipes for 'Potato Hash', 'Crawfish Etouffe' and more; and being Cajun recipes ofcourse I love them! My Dad makes an amazingly yummy Chicken and Sausage gumbo and I have only recently began making it with roux from scratch! Makes a BIG difference in the taste!

Garlic Alfredo Tilapia
Soooo good!! I added some extra minced garlic because I love it so and sprinkled some more cajun seasoning (always Tony Chachere's) into the alfredo sauce to spice that up a little too. Will definitely repeat this recipe often! Thanks!

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes
So so so so yummy! Hubby requests them all the time. His father keeps bees and makes his own honey that is so much better than what we have ever bought in the store so it makes the recipe all that much better!

Aw-some Cole Slaw
AMAZING!!! So good!! I didn't have onions on hand the day I tried this recipe but other than that I really didn't have to change a thing, which is unusual for me. Great recipe and my BBQ guests completely agreed!
