Indian-Spiced Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2014
The spices were bang-on perfect. I see why others suggest to dry roast first. So maybe a few technique changes, but otherwise this is delicious. I might use your spice blend on some other things! Yummy.

Shish Tawook Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2014
Absolutely wonderful. I swapped non-fat yogurt for full fat, but otherwise wouldn't change a thing.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
Was delicious and will make it again. Next time I'm going to try swapping balsamic for the white vinegar, but the recipe was great as written.

Creamy Scalloped Potatoes by Daisy Brand

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
Creamy, not pasty. Swapping cheddar cheese for Asiago (hold the nutmeg in this case) worked great. Decadent and so good with baked ham.

Honey Mustard Dressing II

The 80's called. It wants this dressing back.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2013
The topping ruined these. Followed the directions. Suspected that was too much topping with too much butter in it, but persevered. Ended up with an unpleasantly caramelized muffin top with a burnt taste that sticks in the teeth. The muffin part seems okay. I might try these again with only sugar crystals or a plain top.

Gingerbread Men Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
Perfection. In case you're time-crunched like me, two hours to chill the dough was adequate. I put half the dough on my workspace, other half in the fridge to keep chilling while I rolled, cut, and baked the first dozen. The cut dough held its shape ok. If you can chill longer, do. Don't fret if you only have two hours though.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Best pumpkin pancakes I've had. Spices were a little overwhelming for me though.

Slow Cooker Swiss Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2013
Ok, but a little bland. Not quite what I was hoping to find. Next time I'm going to add a couple tablespoons of tomato paste to see if that helps.

Helped a young teen make this for a Spanish class homework assignment. It was easy and delicious!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2013
Followed others advice to halve the OJ for a thicker sauce. Also added a splash of triple sec. I didn't want to take a chance on runny sauce. It was good, but ended up too firm. Next time, I'm following the original recipe!

Zucchini Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2012
Everyone, including our 1 and 13 year olds who often turn their nose up at vegetables, loved these! The amount of parmasean seemed perfect to me. However, the amount of butter is unnecessary. Going to try using just a bit of olive oil to pan fry them instead, to cut some fat without reducing the cheese.

Sweet and Tangy Slow Cooker Bar-B-Q Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2012
The guys kept giving me thumbs up throughout the meal because they were so busy chowing down, they couldn't speak. This is our new favorite slow cooked pork recipe. (Thanks for the tips about rendering the fat by parboiling for 30-min. Worked a charm.)
