Campbell's Kitchen Beef Teriyaki

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2014
Ok followed recipe for the most part in the beginning however I had to use ground beef. In the end it was rather bland so I did spice it up some just s/p, worchester sauce, and some spike (all purpose seasoning). I gave the rating a 4 because I did need to add some spices, but in the end it was a 5. Easy tasty one pan dinner....

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
We just finished and I really liked this dish a lot! So did family! Only changes I went with was added some red onion saute'd used balsamic vinegar because I didn't have white. Also used equal amounts of chick broth/whit wine in place of h20. I always double sauce recipes would rather have to much vs. Not enough. Saved to recipe box and will make again. This dish had lots of flavor and nice colored sauce

Best Ever Sausage with Peppers, Onions, and Beer!

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2013
I want to still give this a 5 even though I changed a tad of the ingredients.... the only change I made was with the spices... I didnt have cilantro and to be honest would not have used it anyway. I used fresh basil, dried oregego and parsley. I only had Hoeegardden available which is a belgium white beer, and doubled up the sausage because I was bringing this to my potluck event at church... Needless to say it was a hit, not a pepper/onion or sausage to be left. In fact someone took home the left over sauce that they want to put over some pasta or rice when they get home.... The sauce was delicious and the hot sauce just gave it a touch of heat that was just the right amount.. Plan on making this over and over... I actually made this recipe by mistake, there was another recipe on allrecipes that I made before that was similar, but used wine instead... when i got to reading/preparing this I saw the beer and said oops, but, went with it anyway and I am sure glad I did. Liked this much better... Thanks again love this website!!

Mushrooms with a Soy Sauce Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2013
WOW!! I love mushrooms and these were in my opinion the best... Loved them, followed recipe other than used 24ozs, so tripled everything and I didnt let all the liquid absorb so there was juice.... Our steak came out overcooked which was a bummer, but, the mushrooms made up for it.... For tripling the recipe there wasnt one mushroom left. THanks I will make this a staple for sure..

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
I absolutely loved this recipe.. I always pick recipes on ratings then I also read all the comments. I do try to utilize the recipe as stated but when I see some consistant alterations I take them into account. That being said I did reduce the butter and did add some pinot g. I also had on hand fresh parsley and upped the garlic. It was awesome and I enjoyed the left overs just a bit ago. Highly recommend recipe.. Thanks!

Fish Fillets Provencal

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2013
This was a very simple recipe.I didnt have fresh tomatoes so I used a can of diced tomatoes((which made it like a marinara sauce also didnt have fresh parsley so used dried). My husband loved it, and I really liked it. Im not a huge fish fan, but, did enjoy and will keep the recipe to make another day. We used Alaskan Cod and enjoyed not having to fry it to mask the fish. served with brown basmati rice which really went well together on the fork.

Mom's Paprika Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
I loved this, hesitated in giving it 5 stars because I did alter slightly. Based on all the reviews I decided to spice up the chicken before browning, with salt/pepper and poultry spice. I did also addedk a few splashes of chicken broth and a splash of white wine towards the end. I did add 1 1/2 tbs of paprika as was mentioned and this was pan licken good if you ask me. Oh, I also microwaved potatoes which mine wound up overcooked, so next time Im not gonna do that, ill cut them small and then add them as the recipe suggests... Thanks, really did enjoy all the flavor this made

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
totally enjoyed.. didnt have chicken broth so i used veg broth, didnt have fresh basil either BUT, it was really good and im sure it would be that much better with those items... after reading reviews ahead of a 1st time recipe I did spice up the chicken before cooking, garlic powder, onion powder poultry seasoning and ital seasoning. I did saute the chicken in one pan and eventually just threw it all in the sauce pan until pasta was ready, served with grated locatelli and we all had more than one helping! I just finished up the left overs and decided I should post a review. Thanks, its a keeper recipe :)

Mitzie's Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
I was very satisfied with this recipe. I followed exactly but didnt have beef broth used veggie broth and it was still very good, can only imagine it with beef broth and will use that next time for sure. The cooking for an hour is a bit much I cooked about 20 mins and it was perfect. Next time I will try adding mushrooms, cause that sounds good and maybe a splash of wine... Thanks, will be a keeper for sure.

Scalloped Potatoes 'n' Franks

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
My family and I really liked this. It was a different way to have hot dogs for a change. It was easy to make, it did take a long time to bake that I didnt plan properly so dinner was late tonite, but, I was thrilled to find this recipe. I followed it completely, except I used deli sliced baby swiss ((my husbands only swiss like) and I didnt have parsley. We will keep this recipe and use again. I will also use it to bring to church functions we have 1x a month.. Relatively inexpensive to make large portions of. thanks for sharing! totally kid friendly!!! oh yes, I did use a gluten free flour that I like, Im gluten free these days so Im always hunting down recipes that can be done gluten free! This worked out very well

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
I really liked my roast beef dinner tonite! i had 5 helpings and also used a creamy horseradish sauce from allrecipes also. I will admit I was nervous reading this recipe and really went through the reviews before I decided to go for it.. However I didnt follow the recipe completely. I did go with a review I saw here. ((peanutbutterboy.com))) 1st of all I was nervous because I have a gas stove Im not sure if it would have held heat sufficiently. When I saw this review and the size of the roast was almost exact I decided to try it. I did rub down the roast with gravy master and some montreal spice mix I had on hand. Then went with and preheated 500 degree oven. put roast in turned to 475 degree for 18 mins. Then turned down to 200 degrees with a meat thermo in the thickest part. I went with the 20 mins per pound concept, but, the temperature didnt work out with the timing. Thank goodness I wasnt working with a set time. I did bump up temp to 250 till we hit 143 degrees.. and we were hungry so we took it out,let it sit for 10 mins and it was the best roast beef I have had in a long time. It was just like the picture listed. Would have liked it a little bit more med, but again we were hungry! will become a standard recipe for roast beef for us! It was tender and tasty and I cant wait to have a rb sandwich tomorrow with the horseradish sauce too!! a nice asiago crusty bread is the ticket! Thanks it will be one i can play with using different spices etc for the rub

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
We just had this for dinner and I thought it was very good. I did cut the balsamic down to 1/4 cup and used 1/4 cup ck broth. I also sauted fresh garlic with the chick instead of garlic salt. Served over rice and it was a quick and delicious meal. Family said worthy of having another time!!! Thats a good thing! Oh i did sprinkle a pinch of sugar just to cut some of the acidic taste and it did need some salt.. Otherwise followed recipe
