Chef John's Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2012
Tasty, tasty! I made this with leftover pot roast the I diced. I did add a pinch of celery salt, about 1 tbsp fresh rosemary finely diced, and a shake of oregano. Since I had no drippings from the pot roast, I made a rue of beef broth and flour to thicken up the added beef broth. Very tasty. the boyfriend requested a repeat of this recipe!

Chili-Roasted Kale

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
Oh so delicious! I was looking for something crunchy but healthy. This fit the bill. I was making it as a side dish for an italian meal, so I used garlic powder instead of chili powder. Next time I'm using chili powder as written in the recipe, maybe to accompany spinach and black bean enchiladas and rice!

Slammin' Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2013
Delicious! I made this recipe exactly as written, except for the green onions (didn't have any). I put some salmon in the marinade before work and cooked it on the stovetop after work, so it marinated for about 9 hours. Like other reviews, I reduced the remaining marinade to make a sauce. I served the salmon with some sauce and chopped green onions on top. two great things about this recipes: easy to make the marinade ahead of time, and the flavor was very balanced, not one overwhelming flavor. I served it with Roasted Garlic Cauliflower (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Roasted-Garlic-Cauliflower).

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2013
Easy, delicious, and healthy! I didn't use quite as much olive oil, mostly because ran out! I recommend following directions and using a casserole dish instead of a deep cookie sheet (which I used to do). It's much easier to stir in a casserole dish. Also, I didn't put mine in the broiler. I just threw some foil on top, left it in the oven, and turned off the over. The cheese and parsley got all melty while I finished preparing the rest of dinner. It was good leftover too! I snacked on a few cold pieces this morning. Nom nom!
