Alice's Easy Blueberry Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
Thanks for the great recipe. I didn't have 2 cups blueberries so I did 1 cup blueberries and 1 cup strawberries and it was delicious. Would make a great breakfast cake or for entertaining. Definitely recommend the butter and sugar on top because the cake and berries are not sweet, so it is a nice complement.

Seasoned Baked Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
I read several of the reviews and you can easily eliminate the sticking by using a metal rack on your baking sheet or foil. I also added some bread crumbs to thicken the mixture. I also added paprika, season salt, and red pepper flakes to mine for an extra kick, but the original flavors are good as written. I baked mine at 400 for 30 minutes and they baked wonderfully. For an extra flavor add some shredded parmesan or italian cheese blend towards the end so the cheese doesn't burn.

Quick and Easy Pancit

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
Great simple recipe. You will need to make it your own for the right sauce amount. A great idea is to serve with egg rolls. Just take the chicken, cabbage, veggie mix and put inside wonton wrappers and fry in oil. Just use a little extra chicken and veggies in your recipe. I also use shrimp with my chicken for some extra flavor. I use the precooked shrimp to save time. Excellent recipe. Leftovers are just as good if not better.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
Absolutely love these cookies. I made them for my husband who is training in the Navy. He said they only lasted a few hours because his friends couldn't stop eating them, so I made a special batch just for his friends. Very similar to a "monster" cookie except no peanuts or m & m's. I recommend cooking 10 minutes and them let them cool. They will continue cooking once you take them out of the oven. This makes for a softer and more moist cookie. Thanks for sharing.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
Super recipe. If chocolate stiffens add a small swirl of honey and reheat and it should bring it back to smooth consistency. Also, for a more holiday taste you can use "peppermint or regular mint" oreos in the mix. Also, try using white chocolate for any that are allergic to the semi sweet or dark varieties.

Jacky's Fruit and Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2014
Very moist muffin recipe. I did a variation because I did not have blueberries or blueberry yogurt. I did however have strawberries, bananas, and strawberry yogurt. It turned out delicious. I used Greek Gods brand strawberry vanilla yogurt. I took 2 medium bananas and one pint of strawberries and smashed them up in a ziploc bag. Then, I cut a hole in the corner and piped it into the flour mixture. If you don't have blueberries you must try this variation. I also thought about using apples and honey vanilla yogurt...may try that next.

Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2014
Very tasty....some might find it a tad too salty so you can go with a lower sodium packet of taco seasoning if desired. I added medium salsa because we like a little heat and was not too spicy for my 4 yr old. I did this with beef and it was very good.

Oatmeal and Wheat Flour Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
I used fresh blackberries because I had no blueberries and it was very good. I gave it a 4 because it was wrong on the amount it makes. I followed the recipe and it made more like 15....so we had lots of leftovers. I also thought it was a little bitter, so 2 tbsp baking powder was probably too much...and a little extra sugar would help.
