Buckeye Balls II

Loved these! Using toothpicks to dip them into the melted chocolate made it so much easier. Also, may try adding Rice Krispies in the peanut mixture next time to add some crunch.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

We made these cookies for Christmas this year. Loved them! Took the suggestion from another reviewer by decreasing the oven temp by 10 degrees, added 1/4 cup more flour, and placed the cookies in the freezer for 10 mins before baking. They turned out perfect!

Traditional Christmas Cheese Ball

I found the green olives to make the cheese ball too salty for our taste. One tip from another reviewer was to add shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese.. this worked out great! I'm making the cheese ball a second time, omitting the green olives and using diced green onions in its place. Also, adding a bit more Worcestershire sauce and added a dash of garlic powder. I think the second time around will be a winner!

Quick and Easy Vegetable Soup

This vegetable soup was awesome! Based on other reviews, I used chicken broth instead of beef broth. Seasoned with 1 1/2 tbsp of the creole seasoning, 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper, salt and pepper, and one bay leaf. Increased the chicken broth to two cans as well. Sauteed sliced onions, diced celery, and diced carrots in little bit of olive oil to start. Then added all of the liquids and the rest of the veggies. Simmered for about 45 minutes. Hubby ate 4 bowls so I know it is a keeper! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Magnificent Macaroni Salad

Our family really enjoyed this macaroni salad. Kids even took extra servings of this at dinner! I did add fresh diced celery and a little paprika. Very nice taste! This is a keeper!

Krystal's Perfect Marinade for BBQ or Grilled Chicken

Very tasty marinade! I did use low sodium soy sauce and bumped up the balsamic vinegar to 3/4 cup. Allowed chicken breasts to marinate for 4 hrs. Perfect!
