About this Cook
i am a disbled veteran that has always loved to cook. my dad was a chef before joining the navy so i have been cooking since i was 7. i have a hubby, 9 yr old daughter who loves to cook for me, a service dog, a 9 yr old st bernard, 3 cats, and a guinea pig at home. i also do lots of puzzles to glue and hang up.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything. I am always wanting to learn to cook foods from around the world.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite thing growing up was what we called random can night. we would pull out cans from the pantry that lost its labels and have fun opening them to see what we were eating that night lol.
My cooking tragedies
i can never make my merangue stick to my lemon merangue pie for my mom. as soon as you start to cut it the merangue slides completely off. otherwise its a great pie.

Basic Cream Cheese Frosting
great recipe. i used only 2 cups powdered sugar but instead of plain cream cheese i used honey nut cream cheese and it turned out awesome on my butter pecan cake.
