Best Ever Beef Stew

I was looking for a recipe that used V8. I could not find it! I made an amazing stew years ago with v8. Anyway, I used three different recipes for this one. Sautéed onion with the floured meat, did not drain, added all the veggies, including celery, onion, garlic, carrots, added 29 fl. oz/ of V8. Plus about 6 knorr bullion cubes and water (8 cups) you need a big pot. Add water needed, or not. If it's too thin add a potato or two. It needs to cook for at least an hour, two would be better. They key is to sauté the beef in flour and simmer for hours. YUM

Flatlander Chili

Made it once, and that was it....even the picky ones request it. Now that it gets so dark early, everyone wants CC's chili (I always say, “you mean Flatlander?”), Cheese, green onion and sour cream on top makes it better than perfect. (Some of the older kids want it spooned over a baked potato!) YUM, thank you =)

Split Pea and Ham Soup I

I sauteed onion and celery first, used two ham steaks w/ bone, plus one knorr chicken bullion. Simmered for about and hour, added diced carrot and a very small amount of potato (1/2 cup). I did have to add about three cups additional water, which cut the salt flavor and made it perfect. Thick, delicious fall/winter comfort meal! I served more than four with this.

Pleasant Pork Chops

I have made this at least 50 times and it's a hit always, thanks - update - I have to add that IT IS IMPERATIVE that you reduce the juices in the pan to at least 1/2. Yummy as always - I've made it with chicken several times too!

Salmon with Dill

I made this with fresh dill (about a ¼ cup or more) and fresh minced sweet onion (Vidalia, ¼ cup), and a lot of lemon, sautéed the butter, dill, onion, lemon quickly first then poured over salmon, served it with a cool cucumber salad and lemon dill rice, everyone was amazed

Marilyn's Cheesy Clam Chowder

this was fantastic! I used 1 bottle clam juice and one knorr chicken boullon+water to make up for the second bottle. a dash of old bay too. perfect for monday night football dinner!

wonderful! it's a must to 1/2 the sugar and add a spalsh more cider vinigar. grilled ckicken sliced on top is good on this too. 2006, made this again, and FORGOT to 1/2 the sugar. it is a must, but it's great =)
