Whatever's in season! I cook a lot of pasta and legumes. I love cooking meat but only do so very rarely.

Me cooking, the vegetarian chopping and both of us tasting and adding seasoning as we go.

Doubling my once-vegetable-hating partner's palate in the 2 years we've been together.
My cooking tragedies
An attempt to "exoticize" some cannelloni with almond extract led to ordering in pizza and dumping the whole pan in the garbage.

Sour Cream Cornbread
I made this with a scant cup of lucuma powder instead of the sugar and it was wonderful alongside a stew! We also did millet flour instead of the cornmeal and gluten-free all-purpose flour instead of the regular. Finally, I couldn't find sour cream so did a mix of coconut cream and apple cider vinegar. Delicious!

Best Bean Salad
I eliminated the sugar from the dressing and used fresh green beans and cranberry beans. Tossed the hot, cooked beans with the oil and vinegar dressing and let cool to room temperature. Delicious!

Seven Layer Salad
The dressing would have been WAY too thick and gloopy for our tastes so I just made one with aioli, olive oil and apple cider vinegar whisked together. Also used smoked duck breast (for omnivores) and tempeh bacon (for vegetarians). I loved the presentation!
