Vegan Whole Wheat Biscuits

Reviewed: May 7, 2013
I made these yesterday without any high hopes, but boy was I impressed! I even received high praise from my picky eaters. I used skim milk in place of the almond milk and only about 2/3 c. since it is not as thick, and read the reviews about these not rising much and added about 1/2 TBS vital wheat gluten. I was very happy with the outcome. I was looking for a recipe that didn't use shortening and this is IT! Thank you for a great recipe!

Oatmeal Pancakes II

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
Let's start out by saying I messed these up and they still are good! I will make these again and try to do it right!! I wasn't going to put the oil in anyway so no harm done, but I DID forget the egg! They still turned out. Flat, but great flavor. Thank you for a wonderful, healthy recipe!

Shaved Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Almonds

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
I didn't think I liked brussel sprouts, but I ended up with some in my crisper and decided to try them. I came across this recipe and gave it a shot. What a nice surprise!! I enjoyed this. My husband and teenager no so much. I would make it again for myself though! I scaled down to 2 servings but used 3 slices of bacon, and poured off most of the grease. Thank you for a great recipe!

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
Good moist cake. I will make again. I halved the butter for the glaze and boiled for 4 minutes, made a real thick glaze, that had to be brushed on with a pastry brush. Thanks for a great cake recipe!

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
Pretty good! I loved this with some grilled chicken. My daughter and niece did not like this though. They don't know what they were missing! I didn't have the Cilantro and I used kidney beans instead of the black beans. That is what I had on hand.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

The gravy to this was wonderful! My family really enjoyed this recipe. I think I will play around with the meat part. I used cream of chicken/mushroom soup. (I like this combo) Thanks for the recipe, This one is the best in a few salisbury steak recipes I have tried.

Kolaches From the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
Very easy to make and real tastey if you add an icing of powdered sugar and milk after they cool. I found the bread not sweet enough without the icing.

This is the best one I have tried yet! Garlicy and I love the addition of the sugar! This went together really easy right into the jar I was using. Thanks for the recipe! I used Champagne Vinegar.

I used espresso because I had some. This was real good. I made just one serving for myself last night as a treat as I was home alone and really enjoyed it! Tasted like the coffee house one I tried a few years ago!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
I wanted something easy to make with leftovers and this fit the bill. I made half into rolls and the other half as instructed but made with leftover garlic butter. Not all of us are garlic lovers lol. Both baked up real nice and tasted great. Thank you. This goes into the keeper book!
